Never seen Good's before but will look for them this summer when I'm in the south central PA area. Should be able to find them somewhere around there.

Herr's and Utz for me. Herr's lattice cut, Russet or Rippled chips and Utz Kettle Classic or Russet. I tend to go for the unflavored varieties.

Good's siteAppreciate it! Always looking for a good chip! No problem. BTW, the best place to buy them is The Shady Maple in East Earl. Lancaster County. The reason I like the red package Good's is because most lard fried chips are kettle cooked but the reds are not. They are surprisingly no greasy too. Plus Shady Maple carries the impossible to find Zerbe's chips.

So what's the attraction of PA to chip companies?

So what's the attraction of PA to chip companies? Pennsylvania’s soil is slightly acidic, combined with an intensely humid climate to create ideal growing conditions for potatoes. Troyer is the only potato chip maker in the country that grows its potatoes on premises. Utz uses un-rinsed potatoes, which keeps extra sugar and starch on the chips; it’s harder to get them crispy, but if done properly they have a more pronounced potato flavor.
Here's a link that explains it better than me

What I like about UTZ is that their unflavored chips have very low sodium. About 95mg per 1 oz. serving. That's just 4% of the recommended daily amount. Some brands low sodium chips are actually higher in sodium.

Utz and Gibbles are a delightful new experience for me having moved to Maryland 10 years ago. Minnesota has Old Dutch Potato Chips, best chips in Minnesota.

Have you ever noticed most grocery stores place the Frito Lay products at the front of the chip aisle? Must be about $$$.

Have you ever noticed most grocery stores place the Frito Lay products at the front of the chip aisle? Must be about $$$. That's true in a lot of places but in SE Pennsylvania & especially Lancaster & York Counties, Pa chips have way more shelf space than Lay's.
The most talked about chips on this topic on GB was Herr's Ketchup chips. Originally Heinz had a contract to display their ketchup bottle on the bag but that ended several years ago. People either love them or hate them as there doesn't seem to be many in the middle. I watched several youtube videos of people doing taste tests on them & the feedback was very favorable.
The problem is availability. Most stores in Lancaster County don't carry them despite being in the same County as Herr's.
