Another: Prayers for ALL those persecuted for their religion - regardless of what religion it might be;
Religious Persecution"We resist demonizing those of other religions - whether neighbors or strangers. We welcome, protect them, and and seek respectful relationships with them. We recognize the image of God in them, and when we share the good news of Christ with them we do so in relationships of mutuality and trust, and with humility."

Yet another: If you only pray for persecuted Christians, you only serve to further the 'Us vs. Them' divide. Don't contribute to Stan's plan of division... Pray for ALL who are persecuted, including Christians who persecute others for their religion as they have surely lost their way.
Religious Persecution
"The Syrian Christian community, one of the oldest in the world, is under attack by IS (Islamic State), as are other religious groups like Shia Muslims and Yazidis. Many Christians have been ordered to convert to Islam, pay a religious tax, or face death. There are 4,841,305 registered Syrian refugees who have fled both religious persecution at the hands of the Islamic State and the general chaos in Syria.
In Buddhist Myanmar (Burma) over 150,000 Muslims from the Rohingya ethnic group have been stripped of their citizenship and forced into horrific camps. They cannot legally marry, be employed, or attend universities. In 2014-15 eighty-eight thousand risked their lives and their life savings to pack into leaky boats supplied by human traffickers bound for Malaysia. Thousands never made it.
Pastor Zhang Shaojie is serving a 12 year sentence in Chinese prison. Although Christianity is one of the 5 officially recognized religions in China, house churches are vulnerable to accusations of being a cult and Christian pastors often face persecution. The Chinese Communist Party has also cracked down on Uighur Muslims, Tibetan Buddhists, and Falun Gong practitioners.
In Nice, France, police officers forced a Muslim woman to remove some of her clothing, saying that it did not respect “good morals and secularism”. The “burkini”, a full-body swimsuit often used by Muslim women exercising their right to religious freedom, has been banned by city authorities. President Sarkozy has been quoted saying that the burkini is “provocation for the service of a project of radicalized political Islam.”
Historically, Indigenous religious practices such as the sundance and the potlatch have been outlawed in both the U.S. and Canada. Indigenous peoples’ right to religious freedom was finally protected in the U.S. in 1978 through the American Indian Religious Freedom Act. In Canada, the outlawing of these practices was removed from the Indian Act in 1951."

Prayers for all of mankind as we no longer fall apart in pockets of civilization but have come to self destruct on a unified global basis due to the self interest of man. God says His will ahead of ours and mankind thumbs it's collective nose.

JesusIsTops mexicomaria reb?
I just wanted to make sure you saw this thread as I'd had hoped to see some additional prayers here for anybody persecuted across the globe regardless of their faith from folks who call themselves Christians.
We need to end the persecution against all (not just Christians);
Christians, Muslims and ... Persecution
End the cycle of violence!

I would agree with you on what you say here except for the fact this is the Christian forum so I do not believe it is wrong that Jesus is Tops put a topic in the Christian forum to pray for Christians throughout the world who are being persecuted. There is room for prayer for all.... I have done missionary work in a foreign country, where getting enough food to eat was overwhelming. I also pray for all the Christian men who have not forgotten the men in prison. I have gone to prisons in USA and these are forgotten people also.
I have been given a large charge by Christ ....to go into all the world and bring the gospel of Jesus Christ. All Christians have been given this charge. So, we can never spend too much time praying for the lost, the starving, the homeless, in need of a Risen Saviour. I pray in Jesus name for all of mankind in their need for a saviour and a need for food and home. Bring comfort to the hungry and bring life to the lost. All of can give something to someone....

I suggest, weasle, you concentrate less on all you perceive do not live up to your standards, and pray for us instead. Remember we need prayer also. You waste time if you center on me....pray for me would be better. Centering on my many shortcomings helps no one.

There should never be a 'pray only for Christians' mentality in the Church. Yet that is what his thread is...
Rather than trying to justify that, can you offer prayers in this thread to anyone persecuted, regardless of religion? That is what this thread is for. Since this is the Christian forum, we should be praying for ALL who are persecuted. Full stop.
