Your avatar Gman is one case where pride is a good thing.

I don’t know why Gas Buddy abanded the forums. I’m convinced they will regret it eventually. It appears that anything that didn’t have a dollar cash flow had become worthless to them.. It took me a couple for minutes to stumble thru this forum. But I’m already thanking God for showing us a new path. Thanks to friends from the GB forum who invited and reminded me about this new road. Tim-u, Jesus-is Tops and others.
Jesus is Immanuel, God with us. For those who like change - "new" is mostly exciting. For those who don't like change - "new" is mostly stressful. For many of us change it is usually a combination of these. Heb 6:19 is the basis for my new avatar. “Hebrews 6:19 (NIV) 19 We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain, This metaphor used only here in the Bible, of an anchor. But instead of going down into the ocean, this anchor goes up into the heavens, behind the veil, where Jesus has entered as a forerunner for us. He has become our high priest forever, according to the order of Melchizedek. Many confuse optimism and biblical hope. o Biblical hope is optimistic, but it differs greatly from worldly optimism or positive thinking. o Biblical hope is an optimism based on certainty and truth, not upon a cheery disposition that looks on the bright side. If hope rests on mere fantasy, it is worthless. To be valid, hope must be based on truth and certainty. Since our God is the God of hope (Rom. 15:13), we who represent Him to this hopeless world must be people of hope—not mere optimists, but people filled with hope because of the certainty of God’s promises in Christ.

A lot of it may have to do with the exclusion of all old websites without https encryption and the cost of purchasing security certificates. Welcome to the un-neutral internet.
Actually there will be increased phasing out of 'free' topic boards in favour of paid subscription now, much like what is happening with software.
As the T. Petty song goes... "As we celebrate mediocrity all the boys upstairs want to see , How much you'll pay for what you used to get for free"

Hi Canadiens just a thought. If you felt led to the other site this one currently has a growing number of fellow missionaries migrating from the place we shall not mention.
A thought for the day... The beginning of love is the will to let those we love be perfectly themselves, the resolution not to turn them to fit our own image. If in loving them we do not love what they are, but only the potential likeness to ourselves then we don't love them at all: we only love the reflection of ourselves we find in them... Thomas Merton.

Excellent thought Airfresh. Or as Jesus said,
Matthew 5:46 For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?
47 And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so?
Would more practice what Jesus taught then they wouldn't judge a site by it's lack of an ignore button or for that matter, use it if it had.

Yeah I think the quote applies to all we may disagree with. The Scripture you posted says it much better.
I always remembered something written in the book "Knowing God"... do you love someone simply to love them or do you love them for how they make you feel. I didn't think much about it when I first read I thought the answer was simple. But it kept speaking to me and I realized so many of my relationships over the years were based on how others made me feel. I'll love if they love or I'll respect if they respect. Conditional. Knowing God is changing that. Sadly I have not attained the goal.
