Change is the single hardest thing to accomplish in life for a Christian eh? The more I change the more I see needs to change. And the farther from the goal I see.

Many stumble when they seek to change that which is outside themselves rather than what is within. The result is often to seek out like minded to bolster their ranks and another divisive institution of man is formed leaving the Kingdom behind. Now all outside that community becomes the enemy so to speak. Jesus' community did not create outside enemies but worked with them to set the example of the ideals of the Kingdom. For them, the age of eye for an eye was over. They set themselves apart but not against. There was no room for aggression.

And yet Jesus came to earth to infiltrate and defeat a hostile enemy. To your point not with aggression nor argumentative words but with love and persuasion. You don't win people over by forcing them to concede to your argument. Or forcing your views on others politically.
Ephesians 6:11-20
"11 Put on the whole armor of God so that you may be able to stand firm against the Devil’s strategies. 12 For our struggle is not against human opponents, but against rulers, authorities, cosmic powers in the darkness around us, and evil spiritual forces in the heavenly realm. 13 For this reason, take up the whole armor of God so that you may be able to take a stand whenever evil comes. And when you have done everything you could, you will be able to stand firm.
14 Stand firm, therefore, having fastened the belt of truth around your waist, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and being firm-footed in the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to having clothed yourselves with these things, having taken up the shield of faith, with which you will be able to put out all the flaming arrows of the evil one, 17 also take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. 18 Pray in the Spirit at all times with every kind of prayer and request. Likewise, be alert with your most diligent efforts and pray for all the saints. 19 Pray also for me, so that, when I begin to speak, the right words will come to me. Then I will boldly make known the secret of the gospel, 20 for whose sake I am an ambassador in chains, desiring to declare the gospel as boldly as I should."
Belt of truth, breastplate of righteousness, gospel of peace, shield of faith, helmet of salvation, sword of the word of God(not our own) and prayer. Those are not the weapons of aggression. Yet there is an enemy that fears, cowers and retreats in the face of those. This war is not won with aggression but with the only weapon in the arsenal. The word of God bringing the Gospel of peace. Living a life of righteousness peace, faith, and salvation gives power to the word of God that that brings those fruits to the world.

Mexicomaria you remind me of Shirley Temple with those cute little dimples. Now if we could just do your hair up in banana curls.

It's going to take me a while to realize that the newer posts are in the reverse order of how gasbuddy was run. Anyone else having this problem? I love it that I'm going to be smarter then the average bear. As I go along typing the computer corrects my spelling. How great is that?!
By the way, what's the huge difference between "Reply" and "Post Quick Reply"? It seems the same to me. Is one way suppose to be quicker then the other way?

Hi all. Just found this forum. Could not log in to the old one. Things have changed, eh?
Don't know if you remember me, i used to post as CelticHeart.
Came by to ask for prayer for PhoePhoe --- my hubby. He's been battling cancer since '08, colorectal, liver, lung, lymph nodes, skin and last year, leukemia. It has been in remission for about 3 weeks. It is back with a vengeance.
He will be leaving soon to meet our Lord face-to-face. I just ask for prayer for an easy passing. I am hoping to take him an a bit of a trip before the time comes. Thinking of taking the train from Tobermory or so, to Toronto and then Niagara. I know he'd love it. We are no longer living in the Detroit area. Moved 500 miles north a few years avo.
God bless everyone. I have missed GB since I quit posting 3 years ago. Had some serious problems with some folks. Just got tired with some of the jazz. I have thought of you good folks quite a bit.
God's blessings to all.
CelticHeart

Aw, glad to see so many starting to check in where Jesus is King of Kings and Lord of Lords! Welcome welcome welcome!!
My very pregnant daughter is able to eat food right now (she's had the worst case these past 2 weeks) so I'd better run down to the store before it passes! (She's actually lost weight...which isn't good for my #5 Grandbaby)

I was trying to reply to you CelticHeart but all it did was repost what you post. I'm so sorry about your husband and praying for the family. I hope that train trip works out...sound like so much fun! We've only gone on day-trips on trains (never had the sleeping cabins) but those trips were so much fun. (We once took a day trip from Anchorage, Alaska where we were stationed in the Air Force out to Seward Alaska, took a tour boat out to some amazing glacier fields, and rode the train back...great family memories!)
I hope everyone can make it God's House this morning, Palm Sunday...we leave in about an hour.

Palm Sunday service was amazing...and I think we're going to permanently switch from New Life Church to Springs Church. (SC is where our daughter attends and we're REALLY feeling home there and the Holy Spirit is moving, moving, moving!)
URGENT PRAYER NEED: A sister in church, Odette, has a daughter who was working at a refugee camp in Zambia (her name is Janelle) and at the end of February she was kidnapped and they haven't heard any progress on her. Today, Odette told the church she was giving up hope. But we haven't and we're praying for a safe return for Janelle...please pray and intercede for her and the family
Yes, this forum is upside down...it will take getting used to...but I did find you can "bookmark" it in the Actions tab and then just click on "Bookmarks" on the very top to quickly navigate here.

Yes, CelticHeart, so glad you're being positive in taking hubby on that trip. His 'eternal ticket' is punched, we trust..TRUSTING FULLY IN JESUS, our Passover Lamb!! With uncertainty I've tried to dive in...from the GB-ship that may likely go down faster than the Titanic. It's not the Good Ship LollyPop, either! I pray for you and PhoePhoe..this will be a special bonding that you are left with special fond memories...but you really Need the firm embrace of other JESUS-Lovers to hold you when he moves upward. Tonight was Very Special in prison; I read from John 12:24ff "..Unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone. But if it dies, it produces much grain and yields a harvest." is what I quoted right after our son, David Jonathan was killed in a car accident. I spoke prophetically that the Lord raise us 100 young men to take his place to be like a "Samuel" to proclaim the Messiah, Who came to die in our stead, to Return..(Sure appears to be nearing)! We had an awesome time of praying. "Moses" shared of his struggles(likely muslims mocking JESUS and His followers) and he thanked we brethren, especially those within the 'walls' being examples..like a fortress he ran into for REFRESHING/RENEWAL. I lead the song, "Sanctuary" as part of the closing. BTW, my wife is working to remain HYDRATED, using a phone app to remind her to DRINK..Living Water...from the well that shall never run dry!! Taco...you have dimples and red hair! AttaGirl...really, AttaGod!!
