Yup, I search for low prices and find a way to use a discount, often coupons.

Other, coupons when I remember to cut one out of the local mailers. Also, my CC has a 2% (I think) fuel purchase rewards.

I purchased gasoline this week that was 14 cents cheaper than at any of my local stations. I was out of town for work where gas was 8-9 cents cheaper, but with a rewards card it was 5 cents per gallon cheaper than the posted price.Happy Thirsty Thursday!

We only have a couple independent Shell stations that accept the Shell discount rewards card. But all the rest accept the Kroger loyalty card and will deduct points from that card to give you a discount.

The Stop n' Go near my house has a 4c/gallon discount rewards card.
It's usually among the lowest prices around, too.

Almost always buy at membership club (BJs or Sams) and then use a Credit card with 3% rebate, usually about 7-8 cents per gallon these days. So it ends up being about 15-20 cents cheaper than the local gas stations.
OR If I have bought enough gift cards at the grocery store (love buying my Amazon gift cards there to load onto my own account), I will go to the Safeway gas stations and use the CC. Have saved up to $1.08 per gallon that way (8 cents on the CC and $1 for the rewards points). If that's my plan, I make sure the gas tank is as empty as possible. SCORE:)

I usually stack Shell Fuel Rewards discounts with a 3% credit card rebate (Chase AARP VISA, free if you're an AARP member).

Today I received 62¢/gallon off for my Hy-Vee Fuel Rewards card, and it is linked with Shell Rewards for 5¢/gallon, but today is Tuesday during Big 10 Football (Basketball is valid too) and got an extra 5¢ gallon off. And my 9¢/gallon coupon from MarketPlace Foods brought the total discount to 81¢/gallon. The wife and I brought both vehicles to the station and got the 15 gallon limit. Our purchase of $43.49 ended up to be $31.34; a savings of $12.15. That helped take some of the current sting out of the high pump prices.

I Voted I don't Fool Around with Gas Discounts, not worth it for me with the little driving around or far that I do in my retired life

Three apply:
I buy at Costco, which requires a membership.
I use my Costco Visa card, which yields 4% back on gasoline purchases up to the first $7,000/year at all gas stations.
Finally, I use grocery store fuel perk programs, my use of which I'll explain more fully in a post some other time.
