I got bored with skiing and lost interest. Then I discovered snowboarding and have been a hard core addict since. I've ridden all over the West and Mountain West, but never in Europe. The Mt. West has the best snow, especially Utah. While Wyoming and Idaho have the most spectacular slopes. Eastern snow is a mixed bag. Its either excellent or it is mostly ice, rocks and dirt. An exception is Lake Placid, which has had the best snow this winter. (what global warming?) I like to practice mogul running and tree skiing. Especially with fresh snow. Even the less popular 2nd tier mountains often have good mogul fields and tree runs. Both are exciting and challenging.

Nice to have at least one snow fanatic show up! I ski out in the east. Yup, lots of ice and hard pack. It teaches you to be a better skier!

I ski mostly close to home - Gore, West and Whiteface.

Used to ski when I was young and my parents were paying for my ski trips. I am 48 now and have not been on a set of skis since I was a teenager. It does not help that I moved to Minnesota and skiing is not really a thing here, very few people do it and the ski areas that we do have are pretty sad.

Spoke to Family in Santiago Chile today and even without a pinch of rain so far this Fall, the Andes West off the Capitol are as White as the White House in D.C,
Santiago right now in the dark feels like a Huge Freezer.
