"Ritalin (her AKC name is "Rita Lynn" but she's so hyperactive!) is a purebred German Shepherd.
Rocky is a miniature collie mutt. My housemate AJ calls him "Jell-O" because he shakes like Jell-O when a storm comes in."-sneakers
That's hilarious! When I was a kid we had a German Shepherd/Miniature Collie mix. She had the coloring and ears of a GS and the long hair of a collie but was less than a foot high!

Have set a deadline for myself to get a dog August or September.
Looking for GS or Border Collie.

vanislerover, it's tough losing them. I'm sorry to hear of your losses. We lost our Lab last summer. If you decide on a Border Collie know they are HIGH energy. *canine-ization of perpetual motion*

No dog currently, but I handled three different German Shepherd Sentry Dogs in my first four years in the Air Force. We only worked at night guarding Nuclear Weapons and other Nuclear Assets. Best "buddy" a young airman could have!

(1) Male German Shepherd "Theo" and (1) Welsh Pembroke Corgi "Ms Merri." Avatar is actually our Ms. Angel (Ms. Merri's momma) she crossed over Rainbow Bridge February 2018. Both Theo & Merri are now Champion Titled.![]()

We went from two to one this past evening...😢 Tucker went to join his old pals Gus and Maddie. He went peacefully, laid down on the porch and never got up. He was 14 and 8 days. He was a good old boy, we’ll miss him...

Lost my mtn hiking buddy Ghostdog in Feb 2013
She was 13 y.o.
Took years to find an acceptable replacement,
It was Reo, found at an animal shelter in Fryeburg, Maine.
He is a b & w boxer mix, high energy, and now 2½ y/o
