Chalupa is resting under my left elbow, if I pushed it backwards she would likely have to move or put up with pain.

Used to have Rocky dog, who shook like Jell-O when there was a thunderstorm outside. Rocky departed with my housemate's ex-girlfriend. Now, we have Chalupa dog. Chalupa is snoring through the storm, though her nearby human slides going off to bed during a thunderstorm to the right.

Felt a wet nose and a warm tongue pressing against one of my legs. I looked, and my suspicions were confirmed: Chalupa dog was under my desk. Chronologically a full-grown dog, but she still acts like a puppy.
