X is for eXtraneous (so much of what we deal with today is eXtraneous, or not directly related to the primary subject. Example: Getting one's automobile "legal" for street driving. In addition to purchasing the vehicle, one needs to have a valid driver's license, conforming insurance coverage, and a current county or state automobile registration. That appears to be a lot of eXtraneous effort to not walk to the 7-Eleven to get your Slurpee and scratch tickets).
