Mine are mostly home made with elastic around both ears and material over the nose down to the chin. I just make sure to extend the cloth fully and pinch it over the nose. The purpose is to keep little moist droplets from transmitting the disease from one person to another. These masks are capturing any droplets I produce. On sunny days, when I get to my car I just lay it down on my black dashboard and joke that I've placed placed it in the automatic decontaminator. The cloth in the masks I use most often is also black, so the fabric is very warm to the touch when I pick it back up. I also go over the dash with disinfectant wipes and the masks are washed frequently. |
