Hello everyone,
I love, love, love viewing all of your posts and photos!
However, the reason that we are unable to post photos now is because all of the memory has been used up.
And unfortunately, the larger the photo, the more memory is used. Please don't shoot the messenger it's not my fault!
Here is the message posted on April 13, 2018 on Forum Problems & Questions Board from CampKohler, administator: Our 200 MB storage allotment for this forum is officially used up. What to do?
For $3/month, we can bump that up to 500 MB, but because we blew through that 200 pretty quick, the 500 won't take long, either. Some threads are asking users to post photos regularly. Obviously that's going to be a no-no if they attach them instead of calling them from a photo hosting service elsewhere. So we will have to change our ways, won't we?
Perhaps some kind of rule like: "Attach only intermittently, and rely on a hosting service for the majority of pix." Or maybe we will have to delete some thread's pix after a time period to view them.
Opinions?****************************************************************************************************** NOTE: There have a been a lot of responses on the thread above so feel free to stop by and weight in at: gbo.freeforums.net/thread/993/blown-attachment-allotment
P.S. I am going to voluntarily start deleting my personal photos that are more than 3 weeks old. I am told that by eliminating them it will help restore some of the memory. That is probably why we could sometimes post photos over the past 24 hours because some of us have been deleting old personal photos from our threads. PLEASE NOTE: I CANNOT DELETE YOUR PHOTOS -- that decision is up to you.

Solution: Do not attach photos. Link to photos that are stored on another site (such as Fotki for your personal stuff, or any photo on any other web site).

Jaguar (Jaguar XJ Series 3)Sandy, the note about the storage allotment being full is for photos that are "attached" in the forum threads. Most of the pictures that are put in here are hosted on other sites and uploaded using the picture icon in the 'Reply' mode. Those photos do not take up any space on the GBO site, so are allowed.
FYI...ALL of the pictures I use are hosted elsewhere and not on GBO.
Also, what BillG said above is accurate. Solution: Do not attach photos. Link to photos that are stored on another site (such as Fotki for your personal stuff, or any photo on any other web site).Click HERE to take a Survey about GasBuddy!
