The world's largest Barbie collection includes more than 15,000 dolls. Barbie, launched March 9, 1959, is a fashion doll manufactured by the world's largest toy company, Mattel, Inc, an American multinational toy manufacturing company founded in 1945. In 1966, Bettina Dorfmann received her first Barbie—a Midge doll—who is Barbie's best friend. By 1993, she was collecting them seriously. In the 28 years since, she's managed to get her hands on more than 15,000 different versions of the iconic doll, including a rare original Barbie from 1959. In addition to collecting them, Dorfmann also runs a hospital for broken Barbies where she fixes or replaces broken limbs and detangles matted hair. BTW, Barbie's full name is Barbara Millicent Roberts. It's the name of the daughter of Mattel founders Elliot and Ruth Handler. Who knew?

Who Knew??? On May 3rd, National Montana Day recognizes The Treasure State and the big sky country.
It’s difficult to know where to begin when it comes to the 41st state in the U.S.A.
If we look up, big sky country is there day or night. The northern lights dazzle and dance at night and during the day, an azure blue paints the dome above us. But, it’s also the Yellowstone region of the states known for the big sky, its geysers, hot springs, mountain views, and the most entrances into the park.

Who Knew???
May the Fourth be with you each year on National Star Wars Day. Or is it, “May the force be with you?” It all depends on whether you like using puns or not.
Thousands of Star Wars enthusiasts celebrate this day each year with parties and celebrations around the nation.
Star Wars fans didn’t first introduce the often quoted phrase on May 4th. It was 1979, and Britain elected the first female Prime Minister, Margaret Thatcher. On May 4th, the day she took office, the Conservative Party placed an advertisement in The London Evening News, which read, “May the Fourth Be with You, Maggie. Congratulations.”
Star Wars creator, George Lucas, was asked during a 2005 interview on a German news TV channel to say the famous sentence “May the Force Be with You.” Upon doing so, the interpreter interpreted the sentence into German as Am4 Mai sind wir bei Ihnen (On May 4 we are with you). TV Total captured this and aired it on May 18, 2005.

Little brown bats sleep more than any other mammal on earth. These little guys get so much shuteye that Guinness World Records even deemed the species "the king of nappers." When observed in captivity, little brown bats have reportedly slept for 19.9 hours straight—that's more than 80 percent of the day snoozing. Who knew?

Who Knew??? Cinco De May’s deeply rooted history in the Franco-Mexican War influenced Mexican-Mexican American communities in the early years of the American Civil War. In the early 1860s, as the Civil War erupted, these communities took up the banner of the Cinco De Mayo celebration as a way to commemorate the cause of freedom and democracy. Today, in the United States, Americans celebrate Mexican-American heritage and pride annually on May 5th.
Cinco de Mayo is Spanish for “fifth of May.”
On June 7, 2005, the United States Congress issued a Concurrent Resolution. The resolution invited the President of the United States to issue a proclamation calling upon the people of the United States to observe Cinco de Mayo with appropriate ceremonies and activities.

A NASA scientist invented the Super Soaker. With the job of NASA engineer on his resume, Lonnie G. Johnson would already be considered an impressive person by anyone's standards. However, not only did he help develop the U.S. Air Force's stealth bomber program, according to the Daily Press, but he also invented the Super Soaker water gun in the 1980s. Inspired while trying to develop an eco-friendly heat pump, Johnson eventually licensed his design to Larami Corporation—later acquired by Hasbro—and the classic squirt gun went on to generate sales that were truly out of this world. He reportedly made so much money from the toy that he was able to fund his own research and development company, which focuses on clean energy. Who knew?
