A U.S. town had a 3-year-old mayor. In the small town of Dorset, Minnesota, (population 22) where a new mayor is picked every two years by drawing names out of a hat, a 3 year old named Robert Tufts was elected mayor in 2015. His governing style: "Being nice and no poopy talk." Mr. Mayor's first order of business? Free ice-cream cones. We could all agree that the world could use more Robert Tufts in higher office. Who knew?

The Cookie Monster has a real name. It's Sid. Really. In a song in 2004, and later in an interview in 2017, Cookie Monster revealed his real name as "Sid". He is best known for his voracious appetite and his famous eating catchphrases, such as "Me want cookie!" Although he eats almost anything, including normally inedible objects, as his name suggests, his preferred food is cookies. Chocolate cookies. Who knew?

China censored the word for "censorship." You can't be guilty of a crime if nobody can describe what it is! Censorship in the People's Republic of China (PRC) is implemented or mandated by the PRC's ruling party, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). The government censors content for mainly political reasons, such as curtailing political opposition, and censoring events unfavorable to the CCP, such as the 1989 Tiananmen Square protests and massacre, but also to maintain its control over the populace.
