Sneakers: Isaiah sounds like a guy who is kind, understanding, level-headed and an all-around good person. I would not be upset or hold it against him due to him not being a Christian. He gives to you everyday. That says a lot about him. To me, it does not matter what he is, Christian or not.
Soutxed: Good that your son will get released from the half-way house tomorrow. You will have another nice place to visit. Thanks for the birthday wishes.

Watched the Astros-Braves game last night until it ran into extra innings. By that time, it was after ten o'clock. So, I switched to the ABC 13 ten o'clock news about halfway through. Sat and watched that until eleven o'clock. Then, I headed to bed by a involved route. The supper dishes were still on my walker tray. So, I walked them in the kitchen, put them in the sink, and I was ready to make a comfort stop. Went back through the kitchen and grabbed the jug of sugar-free tea. Drank a tumbler of the tea, which I used to wash down my four bedtime pills. Put the tumbler in the sink and the tea into the refrigerator. Kitchen trashcan looked like something had been in it. Went through living room and discovered Chalupa was the culprit. Didn't clean up after her because I was getting groggy. Went in my bedroom and got it ready for me to go to bed. Made another trip to the bathroom, mainly to empty the urinals that I have in the bedroom lest when I wake up and get ready for a comfort stop I can just sit on the edge of the bed and go. Went back to the bedroom, took off my shorts and sandals, turned off the lights, started Alexa playing go-to-bed music, and went to bed.
Woke up for comfort stops a couple of times, then when I got up at 9:30 I was quite wet. Decided I must have leaked without waking up. Never had that happen before. Hope I never have it happen again. Changed my T-shirt and diaper and pulled on my shorts. Went out the door with the dirty diaper in one hand. Chucked it in the tall business room trash can.
A little bit after that, AJ walked in the business room. He said that he had gotten enough money to inspect the Escape, but it failed. I said "Oh, boy! What's that going to cost?" He said, "Maybe just a little time and gasoline.' Turns out that the battery had gotten discharged, and it had not been driven enough to cycle the OBD-II sensors and effectors since then. So, probably all we need to do is go on a drive to Galveston and back. One of my vehicles had/has a "ready" check that you can do without tools. Don't know if it's the Escape. Discovered I had the Escape manual on the ThinkPad. Searched through it using "OBD" and found the ready check instructions on page 315. Printed out the page to hand to AJ for when we take the Escape out for its driving around.
Got ready to take my morning pills and realized I needed to make a comfort stop. Found I felt like it but it was a false alarm. Went back to the business room and drank a tumbler of sugar-free tea and took my morning pills. Felt again like I needed a comfort stop and this time it wasn't a false alarm.
About eleven o'clock, I called AJ and said it was a good time for me to go out and ride while he drives the Escape. He said he needed to go to work and he'll do it after dark. When nobody can see that the registration has expired (or that's his thought).
Got to time for the lunchtime news. Started watching on ABC 13. Stayed on ABC 13 to 12:21 PM. Decided "need another comfort stop" but this one only took a minute.
Decided I'd been away from the news for long enough that I wouldn't bother missing a bit more. So, I grabbed myself a fourpack of HEB Mixed Fruit and ate two four-ounce cups.
Waited for the rest of my lunch until one o'clock in the afternoon. Went in the kitchen. One HEB hamburger bun left. Grabbed the package of American cheese slices AJ got yesterday (cheese that's only good enough to enhance a sandwich, unlike the $2.21 for ten slices I buy at HEB that are good enough to eat neat) and a tub of HEB Uncured Beef Pastrami. Made my first sandwich, took me a minute to figure out how to get the wrapper off of the cheese single. Was eating looking out the window and saw AJ walking to his local painting job. After the first one, I went back in the kitchen to get more bread. Turned out I had two slices of HEB Super Duper Butter Bread, saving me from having to eat the cheap crummy bread that AJ usually buys at Food Town. Made and ate my second sandwich, Wiped out all the pastrami, only thing left to put back in the fridge was the cheese.
Had a can of Dr Pepper Zero Sugar Cherry pop.
At three o'clock, I switched from CNBC to KPRC Channel 2.
Discovered my iPad charging cable was gone. Think AJ got it because he is the only other person but me in the house with Apple devices and he was looking in my filing cabinets for one.
About 3:30 PM, the snail mail came. Went and knocked on John's door. No answer. Probably out on his daily walk that AJ insist he takes because otherwise he would sit around all day. Went and knocked on Isaiah's door. He asked me what I needed and I said there were a couple of things that needed doing: getting the mail and emptying my pop can trashcan. Isaiah is collecting pop cans to get money. He brought in the mail (two-thirds for AJ, both of his were important). My one piece of mail was from Progressive Insurance. Only 50% higher than GEICO was the last time I looked. So it went in the shredder about the time Isaiah came back with the trash can.
Went out of the business room. Looked to see if the iPad power cable was in the dining room. No joy. Then, I went in the kitchen and got a tumbler of water. Have drank about two'thirds of it.
Main remaining things to do today are to finish watching the news, eat supper, and maybe ride shotgun with AJ when he's driving the Escape around to exercise the OBD-II sensors and effectors. There will be no Astros game tonight, they're off.
Just called cousin Sonja and talked a couple of minutes about yesterday. I said "Sounds like you have guests" and it was her grandchildren. So I let her go. Wasn't able to talk to her last night.
Just seeing the latest long-range weather guess on the four o'clock news. The day of my next podiatrist appointment has a 20% chance of rain and a high of 84.

He's probably better than a lot of professing Christians. But that does not settle the eschatology concerns. I'm now thinking I will put him on some prayer lists that I'm aware of to pray that God will stimulate his curiosity about the faith. He even has a dog named Faith (by him). But everybody else in the house calls her Chalupa because she's a Taco Bell doggie. When she sees something in the cul-de-sac worth barking aboutt, I usually hear "Faith, be quiet! Chalupa, be quiet!"

Last wrote 23 hours ago and found that nobody has written since. Guess everybody else is off being busy. I'm busy, but not enough to not write.
Watched the six o'clock KPRC Channel 2 news.
When it was over, I went to my bedroom and stretched out. Started music going on the Alexa and started in using the iPad.
About eight o'clock, AJ came home. I asked him, "When are we going to take our little drive?" He said "Forgot all about it!" I went back to the business room to call family. Only got cousin Martha. Partway through, AJ came in and asked if I was ready to go. So I went and made a pre-emptive comfort stop. After then, we headed off for Galveston. We talked all the way there. I told AJ about the leak that I had earlier in the day. He asked me if I took a shower. I said that I hadn't because I couldn't find any tape to tape up the bag to keep my left foot dry.
Every time we went by something, I commented about it. When we went by my Ford dealer, I said that I'd spent quite a bit of time there waiting on service. The Escape is a dozen years old and not yet any serious problems. Some of the indicator lights are on but AJ says that was because he drove it on the beach and there's sand in the wheels.
Went by the outlet mall and said I had bought a good bit of Converse and Nike stuff there before I started having difficulty moving.
Went by the Mall of the Mainland, now a dead mall, and said I used to shop there to avoid the crowds at two-mile-away Baybrook Mall. Stopped when everything closed.
We got to Galveston and AJ stopped in the Target parking lot. There's a check to see if you are ready for inspection and maintenance. We went through it and I counted that the indicator blinked seven times. Turns out it needs to blink eight times to be fully ready, but I figured I'd missed a blink. Going to tell AJ to count the blinks tonight along with me.
Drove the Escape back home and got home a little before ten o'clock. Ate two four-ounce HEB fruit cups (forgot what kind, I get everything but the mandarin oranges). AJ also put some rope sausage in a saucepan to warm up. Started smelling warm sausage in the business room and I got up and got it. Ate it and decided to set an alarm on my phone. Looked and it only had a 20% charge. Wasn't sure that would last all night. So, I plugged it in to charge. When I checked it about a half-hour later, it was up to 41%. Then, I took my bedtime pills and decided to head to bed. The iPad was discharged down to 2% before the pills kicked in, but I decided to go to sleep. Soon fell asleep.
Made a few comfort stops in the night and woke up to the nine o'clock alarm. No repeat of the previous night's leaking in my sleep. Got dressed and headed to the business room. Today was trash day, and I got mine ready to go. Then, I put a new trash bag in the can before going and disturbing the boys. Today, both Isaiah and John carried out the trash.
Drank the last of the first sugar-free tea jug and threw it in the trash.
Called cousin Martha and finished last night's phone call.
AJ found me a roll of tape and I headed for the shower about eleven o'clock. Went through the process, and when I got done he said it was noon and the garage would be closed for lunch. Chucked the used diaper in the business room trashcan. I then set about having lunch. Hadn't had my morning pills yet, decided to have them later in the day.
Lunch today was two four-ounce cups of HEB Diced Peaches. I didn't want to eat the cheap bread AJ buys, so I also had ice cream. Realized I wasn't going to be able to do that again much more.
Heard the news story about the guy who set himself on fire outside the Trump trial before AJ was ready to go, it was about 1:30 when we got there. I got out of the Escape and hobbled over to a bench in front of the garage. I sat, and AJ paced back and forth the whole time. Cool enough that it was pleasant, and then we started having spits of rain. The technician rechecked the Escape and said "it's better, but not yet good enough." We were one check point short of having enough "READY" indicators set in the OBD-II.
After the garage, I said to AJ that we were across from HEB and I'd like to get some bread that I like. So, he pulled into HEB and kicked me out to shop. Turns out that I hadn't been to the Friendswood HEB since they relocated the scooters. Got a Partner to get one for me. I asked him where they were now and I guess he didn't hear the question because he didn't answer. Had to ride the scooter to the other end of the store to get to the bread aisle. They didn't have my favorite on the shelf (HEB Super Duper Butter Bread) so I had to go with #2 (HEB Butter Bread). Got the scooter to the self check-out and checked out my two items. They were only $4.96 (stuck in a $5 bill and got four cents back). Went to the center door of the store. Saw a scooter sitting there. Called AJ. He said to look over to my right. Then, I saw him sitting in the Escape. Rode the scooter out to the Escape, left the scooter at the cart corral just one space from the Escape, and hobbled to the passenger side door. AJ drove home.
When I got home, I realized there was enough time since I had eaten that my stomach should have emptied and I took my morning pills and let them digest for a half-hour. By that time, it was three o'clock and I started watching the KPRC Channel 2 news.
Opened the refrigerator to get the sugar-free tea and figured out I should have also grabbed some milk. AJ said he'd take care of that, probably when we go on tonight's little drive.
About 3:30, I decided I was in the mood for ice cream. Grabbed the carton out of the freezer and ate everything that was left. Chucked the carton in the business room trashcan.
Watched the rest of the news and when it was over at 6:30 PM I turned off the TV and turned on SiriusXM Classic Vinyl. Been listening to it for about forty minutes when I first wrote this.

Woke up about 7:45 and took my morning pills before getting cleaned up and dressed. Had a bagel toasted and buttered, a mug of Cafix and a bran muffin for breakfast. Camped in the recliner with my tablet until it was time to get ready for my dentist appointment. Flossed, rinsed with mouthwash and brushed with the Sonicare toothbrush and off I went.
Dentist and I talked about dental insurance plans to augment Medicare and he wasn't big on it. To much pay in for what you get. Also talked with him and his assistant about shows to stream and I said I was watching a series called Halo and I said it was a bit gorey. A little bit later I corrected myself saying the show was called Fallout on Prime. He asked if I binged watched and said the only time we did that was when Farscape was leaving Netflix and we only had 3 days to watch the last 12 episodes. Cleaning went well and no problems found. It used to be $120 plus $50 if the dentist sees you. But when I checked out they only charged $95. Maybe they charge less for uninsured seniors.
Headed to Walmart to pick up a bottle of calcium for my wife. On the way back to the car I found a ladies driver's license on the ground. Stopped by the police station and dropped it off. They scanned my drivers license and took down my phone number. Wasn't expecting that and hope I haven't caused myself any trouble. Then off to the produce store to pick up peppers, leaf lettuce, iceberg lettuce and apple cider. Leaving there I remembered I should have stopped at Costco to pick up Coco's seizure medication. Figured I could stop at the Aldi there instead of going out of my way to the Aldi near us. After that was a stop at Kroger to get some packs of Kroger brand Mild Taco Seasoning (5 packs) and boneless skinless chicken breasts I forgot at Aldi. Left the house at 9:30 and got home a little after noon. Really sucks having to stop at a zillion stores but it is what it is.
After lunch and a break to let it settle we went on a bike ride to my wife's sister's house to see if she had locked her car. She's on vacation and always is afraid she forgot. Very windy day which made the ride there really tough and when we got there we sat on some chairs on her back deck to take a break. The ride home was really easy with the wind now at our backs. At 11 miles round trip this was the longest ride for my wife since her fall last May and she handled it no problem.
Got home and immediately started on making dinner. Chicken and rice wraps from a recipe on a package of Azteca something, not sure. It says Recipe Card #4 for anyone wanting to try their luck with Google (hah found it www.aztecafoods.com/recipe/chicken-rice-wraps/ ). Really easy to make and it makes a lot. I take a leaf of the iceberg lettuce, rinse it, spin it to dry, roll it up like a cigar and cut it in 1/8 inch slices. Fluff it up to put on the "wraps" my wife calls them burritos but more like a soft taco since we don't buy the big tortillas. I put a line of refried beans and cheddar cheese on each tortilla and nuke it for 20 seconds to warm and soften the tortilla. Add chicken and rice mixture, salsa and Ed shredded lettuce to mine. My wife skips the salsa and lettuce opting for tomatoes and sour cream (gag white death).
After dinner we watched a movie about some kids and a horse they get while staying at their grandparents house. That finished a few minutes after 9 which is good because that is when my wife enters no screens protocol. Typed this while DLM Tech Garage on YouTube was going over a PC he is repairing.

Main things that I did since last time were listening to SiriusXM Classic Vinyl, eating supper, and watching the late local news.
Listened to Classic Vinyl and did things on the ThinkPad until 8:15 PM. Then, I called AJ and asked when we were going to go on his little drive to reset the OBD-II indicators on the Escape. He told me it was Friday night and the next time he can get the Escape looked at is Monday. So, if he does any driving this weekend, it will add up. Now that I know about the count to eight, I'll have both AJ and me count off the flashes on the check engine light.
Decided to call the family members I didn't call this morning and got no answers.
Next thing on my agenda was having supper. First thing I had was two four-ounce cups of HEB Diced Peaches. (AJ has noted I eat them two at a time and he said it would probably be cheaper, but not as convenient, to buy small cans of fruit. Of course, I have plenty of time for inconvenience.) Then, I swallowed my suppertime pills.
Second trip in the kitchen was to get the loaf of HEB Butter Bread, two partially eaten packages of HEB Uncured Beef Pastrami, and a package of Borden American cheese singles. AJ bought the American cheese, cheaper than the $2.21 for ten slice pack of HEB cheese that can be eaten neat (I don't think American cheese can). Ate the first sandwich with two slices of bread, one slice of cheese, and four slices of pastrami. Wped out the first pastrami package. Chucked it in the trash can (it's been really busy today). Made the second sandwich with the second pastrami package, two slices of bread, and one slice of cheese. There were six slices of pastrami which I thought didn't give me enough for another sandwich. Second package met the same fate at the first.
While I was eating the second sandwich, the CW 39 nine o'clock news came on. Waited for the first commercial break and carried the plate, the bread, and the cheese back in the kitchen.
Went back in the business room and watched the rest of the news, except for a few minutes spent making a quick comfort stop.
After the CW 39 news was over. I looked at the electronic TV program guide. Noticed CBS had on the Billy Joel concert, and last time I watched them the news didn't start to 10:30 PM. So, I decided to watch KPRC Channel 2 (NBC), who started the news on time.
When the news finishes, I'm thinking I'll turn on Jimmy Kimmel Live and start heading in the direction of bed. Will have to have the bedtime pills first and then go do the rest.
Weather guess expects heavy rain tomorrow night and an improved Sunday. They showed the long-range forecast, they now say no rain Wednesday, when I next go to the podiatrist.

Sneakers--Sorry the Escape did not pass inspection. Sounds like a complicated fix, but a drive to Galveston would be nice. Hope you get it done before the storms arrive. Verlander gets Astros win last night.
Took off at 6:30 AM yesterday to pick up son as he needed to be out by 9AM. Arrived just in time but not sure they would punish him if we were a few minutes late. A lot of road construction around the half way house and GPS was not aware of it and tried to send us down a closed street.
Took him to his one room apartment where he will stay until he can find a better place to rent or buy. Apartment complexes turn him down as he is listed as a child molester. Hoping he can rent a small house or duplex. After we dropped off his stuff, went to HEB nearby. Nice store but kind of old. Had most of what he wanted and is on the bus route. After we dropped off groceried went to heat at a seafood resturant in downtown CC. From there we went to the mall for wife to check out the Dillards there. Son and I walked, an exercise he hasn't had much chance to do. While there he called probation officer and CCPD, something he is required to do. PD said he needs to come in on Monday to complete some kind of paperwork. Dropped him off at apartment and headed home, tired but pleased we had a nice visit.
Wife wants to go to SP today to visit with family. One SIL and her daughter were down yesterday as it would have been husband/father's birthday yesterday. Also to sell some raffle tickets from her church.
Everyone have a good day.

My blood donation when well Thursday. This time I had the nurse who the put the needle for my record setting donation. She does a good job. patty7841, I knew it was your birthday from the Happy Birthday! thread. It was jimco22 that knew. soutxed, I see Verlander got the win in his first start. I was against a somewhat lower team, but 6 innings and only 4 hits is a good start. They got him 13 hits and 5 runs, which is always helps. Glad your blood work is good. Take care everyone.

Sneakers--Sorry the Escape did not pass inspection. Sounds like a complicated fix, but a drive to Galveston would be nice. Hope you get it done before the storms arrive. Verlander gets Astros win last night.
It's not a complicated fix, you just have to drive the Escape until the sensors and effectors in the OBD-II system have been exercised. There is a way you can pre-check that it is ready to go but I didn't do it quite right. I'll also tell AJ to watch for the sign next time we try. Nothing is going to get done on that until Sunday or Monday, AJ went off to do some work in Freeport and will not be back until then. He didn't take the Escape, he went with somebody else in their vehicle. Didn't watch the Astros last night, Friday is the day that they're on AppleTV.
Astros next play at 3:05 PM this afternoon and they should be on TV here.
I didn't know when AJ left if I was by myself and I checked. Isaiah and John are still here. The pets are too, but they wouldn't be any help if something goes wrong.
AJ didn't get any milk, because the boys and I can't drive the only way we can get some that I know would work foolproof is to order it delivered from HEB. Do have enough money to do that but I would be down to a few dollars in a few of my accounts. Wednesday morning can't get here early enough.

A bit dizzy this afternoon. Pulled out my HEB blood pressure checker (there's a long name for them that I can't remember, something like "spygmanometer" but then I searched for it and found it was "sphygmomanometer") and I registered 86/51. Roughly two hours after taking my lunchtime pills.
Last night, I decided I needed a comfort stop before doing anything else. Made my comfort stop. Came back in the kitchen and grabbed the jug of sugar-free tea. Washed down the four bedtime pills, put the glass in the kitchen sink and the jug in the refrigerator. Then, went to my bedroom and got everything ready for sleep. Still had to empty my nighttime urinals before I hit the sack. Turned on my go-to-sleep music and soon fell asleep after typing a bit on the iPad.
Woke up at 7:28 AM. Decided today I would be more comfortable in sweatpants. Got out to the bedroom and saw AJ and asked him what today's agenda is. He said he was going to go work in Freeport until tomorrow or Monday.
Watched the ABC 13 morning news until it was over at 10:30 AM. Got some bad news: Gospel singer Mandisa (best known for the 2014 Grammy winner "Overcomer") had died at 47. They didn't say a cause of death, but said she had been fighting the black dog of depression. Something that I also have to do. Also heard that the man who set himself on fire outside the Trump trial courthouse also died. Wasn't that surprised, people that set themselves on fire usually pass away.
Watched AJ head out. He didn't tell me who was still here. Both Isaiah and John are. I got up and knocked on their respective bedroom doors. Isaiah didn't even know that his dad had left until I told him.
Took my morning pills right after he left. After 10:30 AM, I turned on "The Bridge" on SiriusXM.
At noon, I ate lunch. First thing I had were two four-ounce cups of HEB Diced Peaches. Then, I went in the kitchen. Grabbed the loaf of HEB Butter Bread I bought yesterday, the Borden American cheese singles, and a couple of partly eaten packages of chicken lunchmeat. Made my first sandwich, wiped out one of the chicken packages. Chucked the package in the trashcan. Made the second sandwich, had enough chicken left to have another time.
We had no milk, and we were running out of other things. So, I went in the kitchen and made an assessment of what we have. Also made an assessment of my local checking account, found I had roughly $100 left. Got everything I thought we needed, it was only about $40. I added a couple more items that we could use and it went over $50. Isaiah asked me after I ordered whether I got anything for supper, and I went back in and ordered $11 of food for tonight's supper. I'll comment about what I got after HEB delivers it about ninety minutes from now.
Turned on the Astros-Nationals game at three o'clock.
Just had the snail mail LLV come through the cul-de-sac. Told Isaiah that the mail arrived and he should go get it. He went and got one item. It was a medical bill for $1495 that so far Medicare has refused to pay. Will pay the current minimum of $251 on it Wednesday. It's not due until the 5th of May but I just as well get that off my plate. Hope Medicare will end out paying it sooner or later. Recently got the Medicare Summary Notice it is on so I can write and object.
Astros-Nationals game is tied 1-1 right now in the third inning.

My wife skips the salsa and lettuce opting for tomatoes and sour cream (gag white death).
I just got an order with HEB, but I didn't get any white death. I'm rather fond of it on nachos but I didn't order any ingredients for nachos either. I forgot to order anything explicitly for supper, but when Isaiah asked if I did I went back and added something for supper for the three of us costing about $11 (only have to feed Isaiah, John, and me tonight).

Still watching the baseball game when I started writing this, currently in the ninth inning as I started writing this.
Wrote up my appeal to Medicare about the claim that they denied. Think I have a good argument, but I may not placate the Government bureaucrats. Ready to go in the snail mail Monday morning.
After that, I made a comfort stop. When I was away from the phone, I got a message from HEB that everything I had ordered was in stock. Saw it when I got back.
Was hungry, decided to eat some tortilla chips. They were still crunchy, the Houston humidity had not gotten to them.
About 4:50 PM, I put a can of Dr Pepper Zero Sugar Cherry in the freezer. Set the usual 41 minute timer.
Right at five o'clock, Chalupa started barking. I looked and the HEB delivery vehicle was here. HEB doesn't have a fleet of decked out trucks doing their deliveries, this one was in a small green Chevrolet.
What we received from HEB: An eight-count bag of HEB enriched hot dog buns Two loaves of HEB Super Duper Butter Bread A one-gallon jug of Red Diamond Sugar-Free Tea Two two-liter bottles of regular Dr Pepper A ten-slice package of HEB Provolone sliced cheese A ten-slice package of HEB Mild Cheddar sliced cheese Two one-gallon jugs of HEB 2% milk A ten-slice package of HEB Colby Jack sliced cheese Two seven-ounce tubs of HEB Uncured Beef Pastrami A 1# round of Oscar Mayer Turkey Bologna A 1# round of Oscar Mayer Cotto Salami Two six-count packages of HEB Texas Heritage beef hotdogs A 32-ounce bag of HEB Fruit & Frosted Rings cereal
A few minutes later, I headed in the kitchen to see everything. Isaiah came out of the kitchen saying, "You want hotdogs tonight?" I said that's what I planned.
About 5:30 PM, Alexa started beeping. I went in the kitchen to get my can of pop out of the freezer. Isaiah asked me what I wanted on my two hotdogs. I said, "BBQ Sauce." So he put BBQ sauce on them and set them on my walker tray.
I got back to the ballgame and the Astros and Nationals had tied.
Ate my supper, with BBQ sauce drips. Wiped them off with a finger and stuck the finger in my mouth.
By that time, the ballgame had gone to extra innings. Nationals won in the tenth inning, 5-4.
It was a few minutes to six then, but I figured I'd only catch a few moments of the early evening news. So, I got Alexa to turn on Classic Vinyl on Sirius XM. Currently playing "Time" by Pink Floyd.
Thinking that in a few minutes I'll go stretch out on my bed and relax with the iPad, will also call the family.

Ended out doing pretty much what I thought I was going to do.
Went to my bedroom, sat down, and got comfortable.
Started out with calling Cousin Janet (we talked just a little) and Cousin Martha (talked a lot like usual).
Then, I started in writing my life story on another thread.
AJ called and we talked a while. He will not be back until Monday. I told him that I noted we were running out of food and that I ordered some from HEB. He was commenting he wants to keep the blood donor plates on the Escape, even though it's an additional $70. After I got done talking to him, I realized we probably can't do anything about the plates to Tuesday. And on Wednesday, I will have my Social Security Retirement and we'll be able to pay extra for the plates. He's learned when he's driving and gets stopped by the police, they comment positively about the plates. One time, he knew he was speeding and he got caught. Realized that the cop took 10 MPH off of the speed he was going. As to me, I'm a former donor who would be doing it if I was medically able. So, I also like the plates.
After I got done talking to AJ, it was time for a comfort stop.
Wrote a few more minutes on my life story and realized it was time for the CW 39 news. So, I wrapped up writing my life story and headed for the news. Where I am on my life story right now was right after Boeing offered to hire me. Still in 1977, only wrote up two of the nine cities and one of the four states I've lived in.
Previously, the weather guess said we'd have strong storms tonight. Half an hour ago, I saw the weather radar and noted the closest storms were in Conroe. 65 miles away. Weather guesser said they probably won't make it to Houston. That takes one worry off my plate: a storm damaging the house while AJ is away. I doubt that any of the three of us could make much in the way of repairs.
CW 39 just finished up their thirty minute Saturday night news broadcast.
Was watching the show afterward and the TV froze. Restarted it. By the time that I did, the program was running again. Almost thought I had a broadband failure and I held off sending this.
Going to head off to grab some sugar-free tea after I send this as I'm thirsty.

Sneakers--I know how you feel about Wednesday when wife gets her SS deposit. Spent a lot in San Antonio and Corpus Christi, but it was worth it. Hope you manage with AJ. Didn't get any of the Astros game as MLB and FS1 blacked them out here. What was the medical procedure that Medicare will not pay? SIL never had that problem with BIL and they did some weird things.
Uncle- Astros lost game to the Nationals. Glad you donation went well. There was a call for blood donations here, but with this cold, not sure they could take me. Looking at lab report again there was no report on my AC1 or PSA. Rangers on ESPN tonight and they usually do not black out games.
Went to San Perlita. Two other sisters there. Youngest is having knee problems so stayed at her house. One of the sisters took some pizza to her. Seems as the sister who is here to help caretaker sister is hearing the call from her spoiled adult children "Mommy, we need you." So is her ex-husband wanting her to return. SIL here needs her more.
Didn't go out last night as we returned from SP later than planned. Got an invitation to the BD party Wednesday night, but will be preparing for the colonoscopy. Got two party invitations for Friday, will have to make a choice, but I favor the one here in Harlingen.
Everyone have a good Sunday.

Went to the first (and quiet) service at church this morning. A pastor from Bogota Columbia that our church supports was there today so it was a larger crowd than normal. That made it noisier which is bad for my wife so we had to leave early and before communion.
Since we got home early I decided to do laundry. When I got the first load started I took one last look at the dryer vent in the glass block window that I haven't been able to reattach. I noted at the top was a notch that coincides with the seam in the tube. Lined that up and it went right in. No more need to drag wet laundry to the laundromat on the corner. Did a load of colors and a load of whites.
Lunch was a repeat of yesterday's brats, potato salad and beans washed down with the usual Aldi brand crystal light raspberry lemonade clone. Dessert was a couple of cookies my wife's sister made that are more like breads or cake. Good though.
Relaxed for a bit after lunch then grabbed the Max Lucado book our small group is studying and read chapter 4. Got finished with the reading and my wife says "don't forget to do the questions". Okay fine, 10 questions with multiple items to answer. Got that done and went to the man cave to prep my lesson for BSF. For some reason their lesson plan has you read the prior weeks reading and answer this week's questions. I always open the pdf files parse out what I need then combine so I have in one lesson what I need. Got that done and did the reading. I'll do half the questions Monday and half on Tuesday.
When I got back to the living room my wife said she got an email from social security saying there was an update to her status. After about a half hour I asked her if she was going to log on and check the status and she said yep and headed to the man cave. She called out that her application was accepted (or words to that effect). I went in and asked how much she was getting and she scrolled until it showed. $1100 before deductions which puts it a little under a grand per month. Not a ton but I can now decide if I can just fully retire or drop my hours back some. We have savings to rely on until I start social security in 22 months.
Just got a sack of Totinos I bought on sale at the grocery store by work to make. We will take them with us to the small group meeting tonight.
