Sunday morning, I got out of the house hopefully before the Texas monsoons start up tomorrow. Spent $85.49 on 35 items. Bought four fridge packs of Dr Pepper (I told the kid "you better not decide right now that you don't like Dr Pepper" as I've been stocking up while HEB has it for $12 for four fridge packs), 2.37# of bananas, two roughly 1# packages of extra lean beef stew meat, two ten-cup packages of Dunkin' Donuts Original K-Cups, two twelve-cup packages of Community Coffee Columbian Classic coffee K-Cups, a gallon of HEB whole milk, fourteen pint bottles of HEB lowfat chocolate milk, two packets of Lawry's beef stew seasoning, a 1# package of turkey ham, a stalk of celery, a 2# bag of baby carrots, two 2# bags of miniature red potatoes, and two eight-ounce tubs of sliced white mushrooms.
It turned out to have rained while I was shopping. Got out of the store and it was incredibly muggy. Was glad to get in the Escape and turn on the air conditioning!

Went shopping at Walmart late this morning for stuff they don't have at HEB (my usual reason for going there). Everything I got was related to my Sodastream machine. Exchanged two 60-liter carbon dioxide cylinders at Customer Service. Bought two bottles of regular Sodastream Dr Pete syrup, a bottle of natural raspberry extract (to make raspberry flavored cola), and two Sodastream carbonating bottles (they're thicker-walled than usual pop bottles because they're reusable).

Yesterday I shopped at Fresh Market and bought 1 lb. of Ground Chuck @ $2.99 per lb.
Also I bought a bottle of Sensi Dolcevita Moscato D'Asti wine, fresh baked cherry turnovers,
and 2 lbs. of bulk coffee, buy one lb. and get one lb. free. Our favorite flavor is Georgia Pecan.
Fresh Market is comparable to a Whole Foods Store.

Yesterday I shopped at Fresh Market and bought 1 lb. of Ground Chuck @ $2.99 per lb.
Fresh Market is comparable to a Whole Foods Store. At $2.99/pound for ground chuck, the prices at Fresh Market aren't comparable at all to the infamous "Whole Paycheck Market."

That $2.99 is about as good as it gets here. Fresh Market and Whole Foods are similar in their goods,
but I wasn't suggesting that the prices were equal. Whole Foods is a much larger store too. But both these stores
don't compare to your local grocery stores.
The nearest Whole Foods/Whole Paycheck Market is in Mobile AL ... 50 miles away.
