ə one of the things that irks me most about so many people is that they misquote the bible (usually by taking something out of context) to support their misguided ideas. homophobia is often justified in this way. those who think their sin is of a lesser magnitude than those of another fall in this category as well. to god, sin is sin! stealing a nickel is no better than murder! we all have certain areas in which we sin, and others we may not. my chief sin is lust. i have fought this for decades, but while i can control it to the point of not coming up to someone and making a pass, the desire will be there. i guess my point is that we should not disparage someone because they sin in a way we find less acceptable than our own. we are all sinners, on the same plane of imperfection. sorry for my blathering. ə

Good post.
Ironically it is man's laws that are most often the greatest sin because they seek to define what is good or evil for the self interest of mankind, depending on who is in the majority or rules over the people. This was the very downfall as a result of eating from the tree of Knowledge.

Agreed. That leads to isolation with like minded sinners who then inevitably see anyone outside their circle as the enemy thus defeating the whole purpose of God's commandment to love neighbour/enemy as self.

But should what has been mentioned here, stop us from condemning the self determining will of man as a whole? Are we not to put God's will which is opposite ours first? Should we not at least consider how one causes problems while the other prevents them?

'if anybody has to suffer as a result of an action or word, would I be happy to be that person?'. Even the Irish have figured it out. Why not you? ... link
