Yesterday morning I was out for an 11 mile ride. Near perfect conditions with 65F and a slight breeze.

This evening, a thundershower tried to washout the ride with the bike shop. The rain stopped just in time, and 12 of us rode the loop along Albert Lea Lake, then down to Glenville and past the ethanol plant before coming north again. It is almost 21 miles. I rode my bike to & from the ride, and got 24.1 miles for the evening. I should sleep well.

Yesterday, my sister and I rode our bikes in the Rock and Roll The Lakes ride. We rode part of one of the routes, and also rode out to the State Park since she had never been there on bike before. It was a nice sunny morning, and very pleasant for riding. I had about 17.6 miles recorded on my Strava app.

Yesterday morning, I rode 10.75 miles and was done before things really warmed up. I will try that again today, but it is already warmer and much more humid this morning. I may cut back on the distance.

I rode 14.2 miles this morning. The breeze felt good. I made a big loop, going out to Myre-Big Island State Park.

I rode 5.7 miles this morning. The air was thick with humidity and close to 80F, even at 8 AM this morning. Fortunately, the heat and humidity are starting to abate.

I went for a 6.6 mile ride late this morning. Warming up, but a slight breeze made for a nice ride.

Another nice evening for a ride, I went 6.8 miles this time. The temperature was cooling nicely, and hardly anything for wind.

There was a new rider at our group ride last evening. With the windy conditions present, I took the opportunity to ride with him on a shorter route. We still rode an 11 mile loop, but stayed out of the open areas where the main group went to do their 20 miles. I logged 14 miles for the day.
Getting darker earlier, so we will probably start at 5:30 next week instead of 6 PM.

Yesterday, I rode on the High Trestle Trail near Madrid, Iowa with my sister and one of her friends. We had a good time and stayed out there after dark when the bridge was lit up with blue lights. A great view from up there over the river valley.
Madrid is in the Des Moines area.

Yesterday, Thursday was the day to ride on the Raccoon River Trail. We rode from Dallas Center to Minburn and looped back and went a little south of Dallas Center. We had lunch at Oaxaca Mexican Restaurant in Minburn. Chicken tacos and eating outside was very nice.
A $2 pass is needed to ride the Raccoon River Trail and are self-pay at Dallas Center Trailhead. The trail surface is smooth concrete.

I went out for short ride this afternoon after finishing outdoor chores. It was very windy, so only rode a bit over 4 miles.
