Howdy Coots! Sorry I've been away so long..........................Ma Nature threw us a major league curve an' my little single stage snowblower wasn't quite up to it. In fact, she gave up the ghost before the first wave was complete an' all the stores in a fifty mile radius (I din't check beyond) were sold out of all the small an' medium sized machines. An' I cain't justify buyin' one of the huuuuge ones. We're finally gittin' some Spring like weather an' the rivers are fillin' up rapidly, an' goin' to give us some floodin'. Riff Raft cain't go into the water to ride out the flood 'cause the ice ain't outa the harbor an she has a major ulcer on her transom that needs to be repaired before she's seaworthy. She may git sent to the trash heap if the repairs are too expensive. More on that as things develop.
I see youse guys have been keepin' the clubhouse in top shape. Thanx so much!!!!!! An' with the stills set to auto-produce we don't hafta worry 'bout runnin' outa Miracle Hooch................Ahhhhh, Life is SWEET!
I gotta run down to the marina to help with movin' boats outa the flood plane so I'm gonna be busy fer a couple o' days. I'll let y'all know more as I find out...................
Pass the jug. It's time to prepare................!

My Auntie Mildred had an ulcer on her transom once. Jes' plain ugly. The ulcer, too. Well, it hung 'round for a few years 'fore it healed, but her transom wasn't the same. Poor gal passed away last year. One hunnert an' one years old. They buried her transom side up.

Hi There, COOTS! Out of 130 boats in the storage yard, 30 of them needed to be brought out onto the city streets to wait for flood waters to recede. Another 30 were moved within the yard to higher ground. The National Weather Service (NWS) and the Army Corps of Engineers (ACOE) initially predicted the river to crest at 22.5 feet (normal pool is 3.5'), but have revised their predictions downward to 19.8'. Welcome news, but our storage yard is still mostly flooded and will be for at least the next 10 days, barring heavy rainfall. Riff Raft was the last boat to be moved out to the street. Now we wait for Ma Nature ta take her course.............................
I looked at another boat as a possible replacement for Riff Raft, but whilst it would float, it had many "projects" that needed to be done. I gotta keep looking. (A BOAT is a hole in the water ya git to throw a lotta money into)
Snots looks like somebody gave him a bath and combed his hair out. He don't even smell too bad. What happened there? Heck, we could even take him out in public lookin' (an' smellin') like that.
Pass the jug. I gotta git today's drinkin' started!

Funny you should mention that, Tru, 'cause my Aunt Mildred had a friend named Minnie Strony. They were drinkin' buddies. They'd hit the hooch purty hard, then head on over to the Interstate overpass an' moon truckers. Caused a few crashes.

Howdy Coots Hey, why's the door locked? Jeeze, I fergot my key an hadda use the spare from under the door mat. Looks like Snots has been out doin' his business in the front yard..............I thought we had him trained better'n that!
Youse guys wouldn't believe the hassles I've been encounterin' lately, so I ain't gonna git into 'em right now. I'm just gonna head down to the "B" tunnel an git somma that special MH we saved for this kinda occasion (gittin' back here, that is). I need the special taste of that beautiful hooch.
The river's been flooding, we've been gettin' unreasonable amounts of rain, my wife's "check engine" lite came on an' panicked her half to death, a wind storm came thru and busted off a major branch on one of my Silver Maples, an' only damaged a neighbor's shed, several in-laws died an' we hadda go to their funerals an' I ain't had a serious bout of drinkin' since I don't know when. So...........................
Pass the jug! I gotta git back into a serious drinkin' routine!

Hmmm...since I'm near the clubhouse I'd better swing by an' make sure all's well.
Hey, the front door is open! Where's my shotgun? Here it is. (sneaks onto the porch an into the clubhouse). "C'mon out, ya lily-livered yella-bellied four-flusher! I'm armed an' a lot more dangerous than you! I ain't gonna ask agin'!
Nobody here, but I hear somethin' from the tunnels. (sneaks out the back door and down to the tunnel entrance). "C'mon out, ya lily-livered yella-bellied four-flusher! I'm armed an' a lot more dangerous than you! I ain't gonna ask agin'!
BLAM!!! Git down an' stay down! Huh? Wait, I know that voice. BG, is that you?
