I now own my first yorkie.... Do they ever slow down? We have always had Shih Tzu, they are low key,, dilly dalliers. Wow, this little yorkie is seven mos. and I would like to know at what age they slow down.

Update on yorkie.... He is a small lover. He can't get close enough, and where ever I am, he is not far behind. Very smart guy. I taught him many tricks but the cutest is when I ask him to cover his eyes and he does. So funny. Very quiet now and loves to just lay on lap and sleep. If it is a loving lap dog you want, a yorkie is it.
I love my shih tzu but they are aloof and quiet. Very low key. Never cause any trouble.

My yorkie is now 7yrs old and he is so smart and intuitive. He can smell if you have an illness or injury. He will lay close to me and quietly stand post. He still barks but is trainable, but he is a loveable, huggable, friend.
