Interesting, jcs72. It looks like the address had been 127 W Buffalo St in the GasBuddy master station list until GasBuddyVerified changed it to 514 Oselka Dr last year. My understanding is that GasBuddyVerified changes are made by the GasBuddy organization based on input from app users or the station owner. The MSL photographs appear to be of 127 W Buffalo St, so I would agree that 127 W Buffalo St is address that should be given for this MSL entry. The Knoll Bros station in New Buffalo is indeed on the Verified list, which explains why you can't edit it. You can tell because a white checkmark inside a blue disk with points appears right after the station name (Knoll Brothers) in the app. (The two stations in Indiana are apparently not in the Verified program.) This means your options to try to get the address corrected are (1) submit a suggestion of the correct address in the app (tap SUGGEST STATION EDITS at the bottom of the station's page) or (2) submit a request through help.gasbuddy.com/hc/en-us/requests/new, being sure to reply that you need a human when the bot emails you the initial reply. I think method (2) is probably more effective, but even there you'll have to wait while GasBuddy checks with the station owner, who might or might not reply immediately, to get the change approved. I just submitted an address correction suggestion through the app for this station, and if enough of us do that GasBuddy will eventually consider the suggestion.

Yeah - usually when a station ceases to be a BP its logo is removed and it's taken off the Verified list; usually, but not always as GBV sometimes forgets to mop these things up. This can happen the other way around too: for example, the BP at Burlington Mills Rd and Capital Blvd/US-1 in Wake Forest, NC (actually between Raleigh and Wake Forest) has the BP logo but is still named "CITGO." I was able to suggest quite a few changes onto this station a couple weeks ago, but the old name persists.
An even weirder thing they did was to mix up a BP and an Amoco in Radford, VA (actually changed the stations to one another and left a duplicate!). I figured I'd just play the long game and wait for if/when BP/Amoco leaves the program to straighten that out.

New things are happening on the MSL update pages:
1) The map location isn't immediatly visible, because the map centers itself somewhere in Kazahkstan. To see where the map marker is, hit the Update Marker button then zoom in. 2) For stations on the Verified program, several fields are grayed out. At least you can get a clear signal before you try to update the station and find yourself bounced back to the beginning, and no update taking effect. 3) Also for stations on the Verified program, the map marker isn't shown, nor is the Update Marker button. One solution could be to punch the coordinates into your favorite map page or app; another would be to act like you're entering a new station and just see where the coordinates put you. These measures will also be useful for keeping notes in case the station's brand goes off the Verified program so you can put it in the right place immediately afterward.
(I think #1 and #3 may be bugs introduced by programming in #2.)

I gave up on editing stations over a year ago as they never changed no matter what I did. Tried editing one that had changed brands from Jet Pep to Marathon for about a year, no results. Finally so people traveling could find the changed brand station I just created a new station with Marathon. Now nobody posts prices on the previous Jet Pep, but posts prices on the Marathon. It’s really ironic that Gasbuddy will not accept any changes from members that drive by these stations everyday!

Ah yes - the premise of the Verified program is supposedly that the owners control the information and thus insure its accuracy. The reality is that information is frozen in time and can't get updated except for what actually passes the suggestion process.
There are, however, plenty of stations left where you and I can make a difference and get the right information out there. For the others, we can play the long game by keeping notes and then making our updates when those stations go off the program. You can submit them by way of GB's help page, but if/when they can get to them is a large variable - and you get ignored if you submit a lot, so "pick your battles."
Now back to the maps on the MSL page: One more thing I found out is that you can't change a station's placement just by clicking/tapping on the map anymore; you have to adjust the coordinates in the boxes then click/tap on the update button to check your results.

Slight correction on current MSL map response: It well center the map on the marker - after about five minutes, and then you still have to zoom in on it. Practically speaking, my initial recommendation on how to cope with this stands.

Interesting observations about the changes to the MSL interface, MadFueler. I like the fact that I'll no waste a lot of time entering changes only to then realize that the Save Updated Station Information button isn't working because the station is in the Verified program.
Regarding point 3 in your post of March 20, I find that the following steps will make the red pin map marker appear for Verified stations (without having to wait five minutes). First, click in either the Latitude or Longitude box but don't change the value. Then click anywhere else on the page.

Nice one, DavisSta! Works like a charm; definitely going into the 'bag of tricks.'

I've got a Diamond Shamrock station in my area that just changed to Texaco. I've changed it 3 times in my app and it still shows up as Diamond Shamrock. And I did hit the save updated station information.

For logo changes, it usually takes twice a day for a few days (on logos available for members to suggest). Keep at it.

Back to looking at locations for Verified stations on the MSL page:
Updating either the latitude or longitude box, then clicking elsewhere on the page (including the box you aren't working on) will show the updated location with the new number you just entered. You don't need another page open for that purpose after all.

Back to the closed Chevron station in Millbrae, CA, I just noticed that GasBuddyVerified changed the status to "Closed - Temporarily" and then to "Closed - Permanently" last Friday. That may be because we sent in some suggestions via the app for both "Closed - Temporarily" and "Closed - Permanently". Fortunately, in the process, the station appears to have been removed from the Verified program, so I was able to edit the MSL entry myself back to the correct status of "Closed - Temporarily".

I have notified the moderators several times with zero responses.
The Petro Canada at Queensway and Cawthra, Mississauga, Canada has been closed for renovations for over a year and I have notified the moderators accordingly.
Armchair reporters and other idiots still post a price. Pumps were removed and new ones installed but that is as far as they have progressed. Please delete for the time being and as I live three kilometres from the station, am a regular poster, will be sure to notify you when it reopens. Thank you! PS Couldn't get into what may have been a more appropriate thread for this info!

How do you get the logo changed on a station? There's a Marathon near me that is still displaying the CITGO logo. I've submitted changes to the brand daily via the app and it's correct on the full web site.

scoutmaster - Up until this week, I'd simply say, "Suggest it twice a day in the app until it changes;" however, I've run into a snag myself lately. I've been trying to suggest off the 4 Brothers logos (they were acquired by Quality Mart) on those that are or have recently become BP stations, and the ones that aren't already off seem pretty much stuck. My usual method of doing that when GB doesn't have the store logo is to just in the usual manner suggest the fuel brand as the store brand, leaving it in both places when it finally changes. I'm thinking maybe certain ones just hang up, or actually require several members' suggestions. (There are more quirks with 4 Brothers though, so in my case there may be a few obstacles or wrinkles behind this; I can't say I've totally 'cracked the code.') Most of mine, however, have gone smoothly after doing them twice a day for 2-4 days. What I really wish for, though, is a way to get logos off completely when a station goes from branded to unbranded (or no-logo branded). I've brought that up in the past, and the help desk said they'd consider it, but there's been more consideration than action on that front. Oh, well - I'll just continue to try to make a difference where I have the power to do so. In the meantime, tell us which Marathon it is and we can try ganging up on it. May work, may not, but it's worth a shot.
