Well, here's an issue I've seen quite a bit with GB's MSL lately: sometimes a station will be renovating or otherwise have its pumps out of commission for the short term, and under those circumstances it should be marked "Closed-Temporarily;" instead, some people have taken to deleting the gas grades! This causes other members to not be able to report prices at all once the pumps are back in service because the app won't let you add a fuel grade when none are there. Has this happened elsewhere too, or is it just in my part of the country that this mischief is being perpetrated? (I just had to redo one of these in my area last night!)

Have not noticed that here in Minnesota. But what you say is correct. Thanks for starting this topic. Will be interesting to see what will happen in a week. It was through the various forums that the MSL came to fruition through lots of discussion and cooperation from all of us who built it.

Just got registered with gbo. Came from GB, because of the closing of their forums soon.

Does anyone here know how to get in touch with "A Jackson" from Tennessee? He used to be active in that state's MSL, but now I don't see a profile for him.

Hello, I just came over from GB too. I'm mostly looking for the trivia forums, which I will really miss b/c of the mental workout I got from them. I appreciate the invite and the work that went into setting up this thread.

I got MadFueler's message, too.
I started two master station list change threads on the Dayton and Indiana pages.

Welcome, one and all. I tried to do a last-minute "blitz" (or some might call it "spamming") of whiteboards for some of the most active MSL updaters who had their whiteboards open so I can get as many "brains to pick" together at once as I could. Unfortunately, some had already left, and there was no way I could get them all and still go to work today. Anyhow, I think we have a good core group here, with hopefully more on the way.
gashole - On the state/metro site pages (not the new gasbuddy.com but the xxxgasprices.com ones) there actually is an indicator of whether a station is on the Verified program: it has a gold bar, but didn't have its last price reported by the person logged in. It's a slight shade different from the ones you did, but it's there nonetheless.
I think the suggestions button in the app has an effect once a certain number of users make the same suggestion (with the exception of the has gas/diesel/power tracker, which takes effect practically instantaneously). I think I saw someone suggest that five is the number, but even that's only a guess. I don't think enough members do it often enough to matter most of the time.
Indeed, "the quantity of inaccurate information in the database is astounding," and this Verified program only serves to lock it in.
There is some hope, however: I sent in a couple of support tickets recently through help.gasbuddy.com about Pilot/Flying J stations having midgrade even though their updaters removed it from the MSL. The mods restored it to those listed stations. The chain actually lists midgrade prices on their Web site, so it's beyond me why they would remove it from GB - but who knows...

Indeed, at this moment, we still can, because the profile itself is still there, just with a discontinuation notice on the album and whiteboard sections - but I'm not sure all the dust has settled yet.

Right, and it would need the invite recipient to still check their PM or have an email notification. Seems there is a large contingent who want to cut all ties with GB.

Admin Remark: This topic will stay here until we find out what the old sites look like after the 27th. I suppose we could put it in Fuel > Price Reporting. Or should a different board arrangement be created for this? ---- This thread is for discussing MSL matters (reviewing the basics, reaching consensus, solving dilemmas, etc.). Thank you for creating this. Hoping to see some of my old GB's here.
