Good Morning, Teslukbla. Yes, Stanton's first home run was a laser shot to the opposite field that out in the blink of an eye. The second was a majestic 430 foot drive to center.

Yankees 4 Blue Jays 2
Nice pitching effort by Masihiro Tanaka. It's been almost 4 years since he elected rehab instead of Tommy John surgery for a partially torn UCL. So far so good. This game featured the bottom of the order, not the big bats. Billy McKinney had his first hit.

Yankees - 3 Blue Jays - 5
Yankees look like the walking wounded. RF: McKinney (shoulder sprain) Pitcher: Warren (come backer off leg)
Nice game by CC Sabathia.
How about a 282 pound Center Fielder (Judge)!

Yankees 4 Blue Jays 7
A classic batter-pitcher duel between David Robertson and Justin Smoak in the 8th inning.
A tip of the had to Smoak, on his grand slam!
Yankee's home opener tomorrow.

Rainout today. Maybe they can beat the bushes for a healthy outfielder. Hicks, out - Ellsbury, out - Frazier, out - McKinney, out.

Rays 4 Yankees. 11
Good home opener, even in the rain. 5 shutout innings by Ian Montgomery, and 8 RBIs for Didi Gregorius.
(We won't mention Giancarlo Stanton's 5 strikeouts)

Rays 2 Yankees. 7
Home runs this afternoon from Stanton, Judge, and Sanchez. Good pitching outing from Severino. And the sun got an ovation when it appeared briefly.

Orioles. 5 Yankees 2
Watched 6 innings of the Yankee/Oriole game last night, with Tanaka sailing along and the Yanks winning 1-0. Guess Yogi was right. It's never over 'til.....well, you know.

Orioles. 7 Yankees 3
Good thing it's a long season, as the injuries mount: Sabathia - Hip pain Sanchez - Leg Drury - Left game in 6th? Wade - Left game in 9th? Add these to Ellsbury, Hicks, McKinney, etc. and it's hard to win games. Maybe youth (except Sabathia) will quicken the healing process.

Orioles 3 Yankees. 8
Good bounce back from last night's game. Yesterday's injuries not as bad as they could have been: Sabathia: Hip strain - 10 day disabled list Drury: Migraine symptoms - 10 day disabled list Wade: Flu-like sickness - Day to Day Sanchez: Muscle cramps - ok

Orioles 8 Yankees. 7 12 innings
An ugly, ugly game. The Yankees blew a 5-0 lead. Stanton was 0 for 7, after striking out 6 times in a game earlier in the series. The boo birds are giving him a rough time, which I think is uncalled for. Yes, they paid for their tickets, and can do what they want, but power hitters are streaky and strike out a lot. I can't see booing your own team like that.
Well off to Boston for a series starting on Tuesday. The Yankees will be glad to escape from the Bronx.

Yankees 1 RedSox 14
What happens when a slumping team runs into a team purring along on all cylinders? Ouch! Chris Sale pitched a great game, and the Sox offense completed the whupping.
Luckily, it only counts as one "L" in a long season. Today is a new day.
