Blue Jays 3 Yankees 4
A well-balanced game for the Yankees. Everyone contributed against a good team. Sabathia didn't show any rustiness from being on the DL. Chapman struck out the side in the ninth with 101 mph fastballs and 86mph sliders. Yikes!
I like changing the starting time for night games to 6:35. Don't know if that's just for the cold weather or if it will continue through the season.

Blue Jays 8 Yankees 5
Back to .500. A long boring game with l-o-n-g counts and I don't know how many walks. I lasted 6 innings watching, which is a lot longer than Sonny Gray, the Yank's starting pitcher. Aaron Boone had the Yankees take fielding practice yesterday afternoon. Good move. Today's a new day. 1:05 EDT, Stroman vs. Montgomery

Blue Jays 1 Yankees 9
Six strong innings by Jordan Montgomery. That seems like the upper limit for starters nowadays. Adam Warren to the DL. Jonathan Holder called up from Scranton, and pitched the final two scoreless innings. Yanks will try to win the series tomorrow.

The Yankees promote their top prospect, Gleyber Torres, and option Tyler Wade to Triple A. Torres is the starting second baseman today in the game against the Blue Jays.

Blue Jays. 1 Yankees 5
Yep, today was Gleyber Day for the Yankee fans (had to say it - once!). Too bad for Tyler Wade, but you have to go with the hot hand. Excellent game for Luis Severino. Home run for Didi Gregorius, and Miguel Andujar is looking like a permanent fixture at third. Not one Yankee over 29 in the starting lineup. That bodes well for years to come.

Twins 1 Yankees 14
Yankees can be a dangerous team when their offense is clicking. Tanaka's best start this year didn't hurt either. 4 hits for Stanton, grand slam for Gregorius, Andujar continues his extra bases streak, Torres had his first ML hit. If only they could spread a few of those runs out over several games. On paper, it's just one "W" in a long season.

Twins 3 Yankees. 8
Good Game for the Yanks against a good team. 4 home runs again tonight: Sanchez, Gregorius, Judge, and Sanchez again.
Six strong innings by Sabathia. He has beaten every team in baseball except one during his career. (Marlins).
1st RBI for Gleyber Torres.
Nice to see a team built from the farm system and good trades! Sanchez, Torres, Andujar, Judge, and Byrd (when he comes off DL) were all teammates at AAA Scranton just a few years ago.

Twins 4 Yankees. 7
A foggy, drizzly night in the Bronx. Offense continues to click, with home runs from Didi Gregorius and Tyler Austin. Sonny Gray remains an enigma - can't seem to find the strike zone. Sure looked uncomfortable out there on the mound for 4 ⅔ innings. But a win is a win, even if it's not pretty.

Twins 3 Yankees. 4
Yanks have won 7 of last 8 games. Gary Sanchez continues hot streak with 3-run walk-off home run. Dellin Betances gets the "W". He's been very inconsistent all season, but improving lately. It's off to sunny California to play the Angels. Should be a good series, but I don't think I can stay awake for the night games.

Yankees 4 Angels 3
Didi Gregorius strikes again, with a home run in the tenth inning. Didn't stay up to watch the west coast game, so I don't have much to say. But a win is a win.

Tanaka - 6 strong innings, 9 Ks Looks like almost everyone contributed. 8 straight wins against competitive teams, but Houston and Boston are next on the calendar.

Yankees 2 Angels 1
Good pitching effort by CC Sabathia. He's really turned himself into a finesse pitcher in his "senior" years. Home run for Gary Sanchez.
It's a good time to be on a tear, with the Astros and Red Sox on deck.
Giancarlo Stanton is showing signs of life, especially away from Yankee Stadium.
Looking to make it 10 straight (if Sonny Gray can re-discover the strike zone).

Yankees 1 Astros 2
Charlie Morton cooled off the Yankee bats last night. What a great starting rotation the Astros have! It won't get any easier facing Verlander tonight. Yikes1
The bright side for Yankee fans is that Sonny Gray pitched a little better.

Yankees 4 Astros 0
Yankees had to wait until Justin Verlander left after 8 shutout innings (14Ks), but did their damage in the ninth on a Gary Sanchez 3-run homer and a wild pitch. Yankee starter Jordan Montgomery threw only 7 pitches before being taken out with elbow problem (Uh-oh). Terrific shutout effort by bullpen - German, Green, Betances, Robertson, and Chapman.

Yankees 4 Astros 0
Luis Severino's first career complete game, quite an achievement against the defending champs at Minute Maid Stadium.
Giancarlo Stanton provided all the offense, with 2 home runs and an RBI double.
Jordan Montgomery out for 6 weeks with a strained flexor tendon of the left elbow. Looks like an opportunity for Domingo German to move into the starting rotation.
Final game of the series at 2:10 (ET) today.
