When the GB forums were shut down, I had over 6 million points, none of which I had used to enter the gas drawings. After the shut down, I started to "cash in" my points in the drawings, first 50 or 60 at a time, eventually going down to 5 at a time. At that point, about 2 years ago, I won the drawing and got 4 $25 name brand (Marathon, in my case) gas cards.
When I have browsed the winners list, I have seen both new GB winners and longtime GB winners. I do think it's the luck of the draw.
(Meanwhile, I'm hoping for a second win, 5 entries at a time).

Well it has been 4 years to the day that they pulled the plug on the forums. I now only visit the old shell of a site to click one of the stale news items for points.
I think everyone has an equal chance at the gas cards EXCEPT for the fact that new users get automatically entered into a gascard draw when they sign up. New members also automatically get a random generated name like Buddy_?#?#?#? when they sign up, and it's a little tricky to change it, so lots of newbies just leave it...

My My...
I wonder what users have made the biggest gains on the All-Time Leaderboard over the past 4 years!
I'd name GB UserNames but it would probably be reported & then taken down as being accusatory of "something"
Interesting that someone on this page does NOT have a GB User profile...why is that??? Are you NOT able to enter drawings??

Well it has been 4 years to the day that they pulled the plug on the forums. I now only visit the old shell of a site to click one of the stale news items for points. They seem to be posting stories at least semi-occasionally. But a number of them are advertising for "Pay With GasBuddy." Asked for the card but never received it. Think it got lost in the Hurricane Harvey aftermath. Although there's not much lost, we got a COSTCO a couple of years ago and since I joined I bought gas elsewhere only once when I was in the area. Even bought gas at COSTCO on vacation. My housemate went to get his Tundra gassed up before a hurricane got in the Gulf and COSTCO had a long line. I just needed to top off my Escape so I bought a few gallons at the nearby Exxon. No line at Exxon.

PD posts daily 'news' articles on the GB site. All of the GB articles are about the States. I log on to post prices and to get the points, then enter for a SLIM chance at the $100 daily prize.
Up here in B.C. the 'Pay With GasBuddy' does not exist. With gas prices as they are, with no competitive prices unless one lives near a Costco, which I don't... the BCAA has an option of saving 3 cents per litre if a member fills up at a Shell gas station. Since Shell also gives Air Miles for purchases, when I need gas, I go to Shell.
Even so, $100 Canadian dollar relates to not even one full gas tank in my 2012 GMC Terrain...

Even PD ha given up it seems, the news items are 3 years old.

Good Morning Pigeon007 Yes, I still go to GB for points. 4386 consec. days Last year I won the $100 - gobsmacked but being in Canada, had to answer a math skill testing question. Pretty neat. Petro Can has joined in with the Canadian Tire Card. May get 5 cents off but haven't tried it yet. Our gas prices are almost $2,00 Cdn lit. and are set to go up due to Carbon Tax on the 1st April. Cruel. Happy Easter Pigeon007
