They were removed due to constant mis-use of news submissions for political agendas by a few users. The GasBuddy Blog will not be eliminated, and I will post news as time allows. Unfortunately as soon as PD starts posting news stories, someone with a new user name "Yab2020" goes over there and starts posting political stuff to ruin the news section again, and others. So if the news section is shut down at GasBuddy so be it. There used to be the ability to ignore a user, but it got removed when the forum area became essentially inoperable. Went out there and tried to use it but no such luck.

Last week only had stories Monday. But if you go to the gasbuddy.com site, you can see a number of GasBuddy Blog posts from last week. Go figure.

you can see a number of GasBuddy Blog posts from last week. That number is only two. One is a re-post of tweets, the other is a kinda Carvana ad/press-release - neither of which were posted by PD - nor would either of those blog posts qualify as "Gas News".
If you're thirsty for fuel news, are you looking though the threads in the Energy Industry News topic? There's at least three. The weekly EIA report was created. Admittedly the Energy Industry News topic is better than GasBuddy (not hard).

You get a message that the forums have been discontinued, but the ignore request is honored. I just ignored a couple of users who make nothing but off-topic postings and their posts were nowhere to be found.

It's Thursday. PD has posted no new stories since Monday last week. But there are new stories on gasbuddy.com (with no ability to comment about them).

When "newsville" was active, the world-is-flat crowd just used it for spouting their politics. The same political diatribe that destroyed the whiteboards. The same politics that's gutted this place. I don't think this place is gutted by politics, I only see politics in the area set aside for it. My local TV station is gutted by politics. At least it gives us a temporary reprieve from the lawyer ads.

Three weeks since PD has posted any stories on the heritage sites. If you want to know what's going on, you can go to gasbuddy.com and read a number of blog entries. If you know what you're doing, you can go back for months in the stories and comment on those to get the "highly valuable points."

GasBuddy has deleted the ability to post comments relating to the news stories. They have now increased the number of points for reading a news story to 125. For most people, that will save having to type "K" in response to the story.
