Cassidy as this team playing so well since he took over last year. Are they playing over their heads or are they just this good. Even with a ton of injuries they're 2 points out of first with a game in hand. Go Bruins

I have to give the Bruins props, hanging in there with key injuries to Bergeron, Krejci, Chara and of course the Marchand suspensions.... That guy, who is dirtier than Matt Cooke, but has unbelievable skill.

I can't defend the guys antics. I wouldn't put him in Cookes class yet but if he keeps it up he will rise to that level.
I love his game (legal) though. He's def got some skills.
If he was a little bigger he wouldn't have as many penalties. One... he's gotten called for some stuff where he's just ducking and takes someone out accidentally. Two... if he was bigger there would be fewer people taking runs at him. Fewer retaliation penalties.

So the B's sign Chara for another year. He's large, but the league has gone with speed. Something that he has never had.

Who doesn't like a 6'10" 41 year old defenseman to help usher in the otherwise complete youth movement? $5M is a good deal, right?

He's already saying that he wants to play for the year AFTER next. I didn't think that dinosaurs knew how to skate.

He's still pretty good but geez there are times at the end of shifts when guys skate by him like he's a turnstile. But they have a ton of young guys that could benefit by having him around another year. One year at a time I don't care how many he wants to play. Unless of course he gets on the TB12 program. My stepson has been making TB12 protien shakes in the morning. I never realized how good a liquid salad for breakfast was before.

Exactly. One year deal is just fine! It's great to see the youth movement but I do think Chara's presence is good for the team. He wasn't that quick when he was young, let alone at 40. But he's a presence, no doubt.

Another nice game last night without several key players... against a top team in the league. This team keeps impressing me.

Too bad that they are in the same conference as the back to back SC Champions of the World!

Trudat Dice. A champ is a champ until someone knocks them out. Multiple championship DNA usually makes that even harder. I don't discount that.

I saw that Bruin D man Carlo suffered a nasty ankle injury. I'm guessing that he's out for the playoffs. How's the depth?

Once some injured guys get back the depth isn't bad but it seems not to matter this year. Guys have been going down every day and now they're in first in the Atlantic and 3 out of the presidents trophy. It's nuts.

Yes, #1 seed and only the Jets have more points overall. Last few games it seems they just find another gear when they need it, and I still like their depth throughout. I believe McAvoy could still be back for the playoffs? Possibly even as soon as Thursday! #NHLBruins injury updates from Bruce Cassidy: Carlo: Out, lots of swelling, no definitive answers on extent of the injury Riley Nash: Out, received 40+ stitches to ear/head. Could join team in Florida Chara: Will return today against PHI McAvoy: Out, possible for Tuesday Read more at: nesn.com/2018/04/bruins-coach-bruce-cassidy-reveals-charlie-mcavoys-possible-return-game/

Well news is now that Carlo is out for the year, 3-4 month recovery time.
However, McAvoy playing tonight! Lose one, gain one...
