The guesses fell short here today, too. I went to TG this morning. It was hazy, not sunny, and while I was warm, it wasn't that bad. It's really kinda nice out tonight for a summer evening.
I was at TG this morning early. It felt kinda hot but not too bad. One of my favorite managers dropped by my bay and I asked if people were whining about the heat and he said they were. I commented that I'd much prefer what we had today to the single digit temps back in January! He agreed wholeheartedly!

It can get way colder than the single numbers here in the northern part of NH. When I first built and moved here, winter nights could drop into the minus 20's for a week at a time. Needed a 70 amp battery charger to crank over the mashed potato thick oil in the car.

I can get colder here, too, just rarely. But that was as bad as it got this past winter and this heat spell is far preferable. If it got even colder, that would be even worse!
Played 18 today but took a cart and walked very little. By the 6th hole, I was not following their instructions to keep carts on paths near greens, tees and on par 3s. Neither were many others! If part of a tee box was shaded, I hit from there, regardless of where the tee markers had been placed. I did play the back 9 fairly well and better than the front.

Last evening saw the temp break and drop down to what is usual for these mtns. Glad to have the temps in the 60's this early morning. Looking forward to a few days of showers to drop the temp further.

What a difference a few weeks make! Remember when you were wondering if the showers would ever stop?
They extended our warning to tomorrow at 8 pm. Definitely hot here, in the mid 90s.
Had to laugh at the national news. They reported that it's been over 90 2 days in a row in NYC! Now it's serious!

Can recall like it was yesterday visiting Houston and New Orleans in July. Ea night was in the 90's, even at 3 & 4 AM. One lost their shower 2 minutes after leaving the A/C hotel rooms. Your clothes stuck right to ya. Not my idea of a good time.

Not mine either. But somehow they didn't have a heat advisory and people survived, even visitors!
Taking it easy today, may head to a nearby course and chip and putt. May not.

The area is in a 3 day pattern of rain, showers and t-storms thru Monday. Spent little time outdoors on Sat as it rained much of the day. Same story will happen on Sun & Mon. Riding this out til Tues when the sun will return for the day.

Staying dry sounds like a plan!
We had showers this morning and a few drops this afternoon. Should be clear for at least a couple of days here.

Had heavy rain and t-storms today. Was very surprised the power did not go off. More rain early today then t-showers developing later in the day. At least Tues offers a day of sun.

Hope you got it!
Golf today was punctuated by an amazing shelf cloud that appeared to be chasing us down a fairway for a while. We got the round in. I walked about 2 miles of it.

Lost power for 5 hours. It was late afternoon into the evening yesterday. And very boring. That was twice in one week the power went off. The utility Co sent me a text message saying a tree fell on the line. More usual is a limb that falls on the lines.

Even brief power outages are at least pretty annoying. 2 in a week doesn't sound like fun.
I got out and walked 9 early today. 2.5 miles.

Made plans w/a pal from town to go to a local supermarket today. He's looking for a local auto mechanic to work on his pick up truck. We'll stop by both places in the morning. Going to rain all day. A very good day to shop.

Hope the outing goes well! I know you tried to do that a couple of weeks ago but had car trouble.
Had a good outing at TG today. Came home and mowed, raising the blade to 5.5 inches, the top "normal" setting -- the very highest goes up 2 more inches.
