I personally think you're simply discriminating against all anonymous posters. That's not socially liberal. That is simply because you are trolling this thread...

Alas, your intolerance of certain kinds of people makes you fear all of them. Judge not by the color of their name but by the content of the message.
I am not "trolling" this thread (which the term 'trolling' REALLY has started to become abused that it no longer has meaning) - simply because my viewpoints on this specific issue matches that of the trolls in the politics forums doesn't mean I agree with them on other points - in fact I'm completely against them. You only think I'm trolling because you stereotyped me to them due to the anonymous nature of my postings.

Solution is to ban intolerance to opposing views Another reason to require registration to post. Most of the "guest" posters are extremely intolerant to opposing views.

And remember, you are intolerant to theirs as well.

And remember, you are intolerant to theirs as well. BS. In most cases, they don't seem to have any actual views, at least none that they can discuss rationally. Mostly, they just rant about "liberals", or whatever it is that sets them off, and attack other posters.

Mostly, they just rant about "liberals", or whatever it is that sets them off, and attack other posters. There is intolerance on both sides, from registered users as well as unregistered "guests". The difference is that it is harder to be a troll if you are registered, because people can then ignore you. But if you are registered, your name (at least the exact form of it) cannot be spoofed or impersonated. Unregistered posters also cannot ignore anyone, nor can they go back and edit/correct their posts once made. But it's no coincidence that most of the trolls are unregistered. (Those that are registered tend to be more subtle in their trolling and less obnoxious).

They only have one objective: Anti-Communism and anything that has communistic views, which includes liberalism, they will find as "amusingly stupid" which explains their posts when they themselves don't realize that things aren't infinite.
Ultimately they would rather live like lions than like bees. You can't make lions live like bees and you can't make bees live like lions, but perhaps it's best we all live like roaches.

What really is interesting are there seems to be no hard line liberal anonymous posters. This is the main problem here.

What's readily apparent is that most of the "Guest" trolls really have nothing to add to the conversation.

How do you expect evangelistic conservatives to express their views of the world when they have no backing other than religious (i.e. unprovable) and deep constitutional backing of non-interference by government. They get banned left and right from liberal media outlets so they claim that they are being repressed. Not that I support their views but this is the exact reason why they feel left out so they thrash out like this, hoping they can get anyone who listens.
There are a lot of them out there, it's not like they are a few loners out there. For freedom of speech and equality for them too, your job is to disprove them or call them out on their meaningless drivel.
Or is it best to silence them and they get even more vicious in their efforts to get heard. Step into their shoes, it's hard to because most of the liberals out there think with scientific reason unlike these evangelistic conservatives.
If suddenly a large group of vicious posters that are not evangelistic conservatives show up, I'd like to hear that and perhaps then because things are evenly divided, fine, all of them should be restricted from posting.
I view signups mostly for anti-spam. One thing I do wish is that the 10 second post limit be removed when you register so you can flood any unregistered posts away from the last page. THIS seems like a reasonable way to hide their message.

A strange position for 'Picturefreak' to take anyway, since no one is being banned. All would still have full posting privileges if they simply registered, as all other sites require.

Maybe they're too stupid to remember their passwords and easier to post without one.
Thus you've just banned the stupid people by requiring a login.

Indeed it does, except the tongue in cheek remark went over your head. Maybe you should be banned too.
