Oh, possible white stuff alert for saturday. I wonder if you saw it -- there was some Tuesday around midday. Not a lot, but they were definitely flakes and definitely white. I was going into a grocery store. It had stopped and warmed up a bit by the time I came out.

HI, guys and girls: I forget Rosie's Bar is still around; very little free time, as I'm working 4 days week, starting next week. Mnjrfan, the asparagus sounds great! One of my fav veggies with pork roast with potatoes. I will post more on another day; I hope Goldie and dirt girl, the weather warms up soon for you. Have a great Wednesday!

Morning all. I have my chairs. I haven't been out this morning to look at them, still dark. Nearly dark when they were delivered. I used a flashlight to let the driver know where to come to park. I saw this big suv circling the turnaround and figured it was them, so blinked my flashlight at them. No one can ever seem to find my place. The buildings all have big letters on them and l specify my bldg number but it is behind another bldg and the bldg number is larger than the apt number if you can follow. not really my address..but eg: Bldg 4 and address is 2270. So they automatically go looking for bldg #2.

goldie, Unfortunately I did see that the other day. On my way home, I go by a landscaping place on Pierce Butler (between Snelling and Hamline). They have one of those portable signs out front and they always put an amusing or whitty message on it. Last week it was some reference to fb and fake news. This week it's "Those who are praying for snow please stop". lol
tru, Glad you got your chairs. That makes sense that they would think that any address starting with 2 would be in building #2.

"This week it's 'Those who are praying for snow please stop'". LOL.
I think that in December. I want all those people "Dreaming of a White Christmas" to just stop. But in April?? Oh my.
Tru, glad you got your chairs. Are they indoor ones?

I am hoping to get it going dirt girl. We had 3 plus me yesterday. I had lost my phone book and didn't call anyone. It was very pleasant. Till one lady took a dig at me about how l could afford my chairs.. She said "did you get them at the food bank? " I thought that was unkind. She knows l am low income, but sometimes a person has to splurge on something nice. For her it might be a trip, for me it was the chairs. I had planned to buy the cheap plastic ones but fell in love with these. So l splurged.

Tru, she was out of line and you certainly do not owe her an explanation. But you could say they were a gift (ie, from yourself). There is a way she could have asked that was genuine curiosity, as if maybe she was trying to figure out a way to get some herself. But from what you said, that is not the way she asked. Sometimes we have to splurge on something special, or sometimes we might do without other things and save up, or whatever. Does she live in your complex and is everyone there low income, or is it a mixed income development?
FYI (anyone) Office Depot Office Max has a coupon good until the end of April for free paper shredding up to 5 Lb. I'm hoping to be able to use it more than once (made more copies). I don't have the link now, but search Office Depot Office Max free paper shredding 2018. Or something like that. But save yourself unnecessary time by adding the year. There are some expired ones from past years.

goldie, Thanks for the tip on free shredding.
tru, That was very unkind of her to say. You're right, sometimes you have to splurge on something nice for yourself. Goldie is right, next time say they were a present.

Yes people like that l just try to stay clear of.. She has one lady in tow all the time, she uses her to take her places etc and l am sure the lady enjoyed being welcomed into the community and like her but l noticed she whispered something behind her back that day as the first lady got up to go, and l think it was a response to "lets go" and the whisper might have been something about having to leave with her. Don't know , didn't ask the lady the sign and whisper was to;
Some people are just grumpy. AT times anyway. So l will mark it off to that. Since they are both in our Lunch Bunch and l want to get along.
I had a nice ride on my scooter yesterday....wel except for the bumps on sidewalk peaks and lower levels. There sure are a lot of them.
Anyway l was told where a beautiful dogwood was in full bloom and l wanted a picture. I love dogwoods in bloom. I am not sure l found the same one, but did get one pic and saw lots of pretty trees and blooming shrubs and enjoyed the time and l found some sidewalk gifts. A box of films for 8 track? and some discs of movies so l took 4. Bonus trip...

tru, You have the right attitude and life is too short to be upset by the mean or grumpy people. Glad you got out to see the trees and shrubs in bloom and got some bonus gifts as well.

That is what l believe whole heartedly dirt girl. Life is too short to waste being unhappy. I have to work at it at times, but usually l kinda remember to let it go. I enjoy life now. Hopefully the little and even big irritations can be overlooked by y'all too. Course l don't mean tragedies, but cutting remarks and bills etc. Not worth wasting time on.
I remember the saying of those people who are mean to you, is their problem, not yours.
