Last week I went to see Ford vs. Ferrari:
I've never been a racing fan, never attended a race but the film was captivating and gives viewers a good look behind the scenes of the sport and the ugliness of corporate life. The lead actors turned in compelling roles. Henry Ford, II, comes off bad. One of his top execs comes off even worse, while his underling, Lee Iacocca, is portrayed as the young rising star with all the potential he ended up realizing, first at Ford and later at Chrysler. It's worth seeing in a theatre because of the sound and the panorama.
As much as I liked it, my guess is the Academy will hate it.
