Thank you for the example of the adversarial will of man.

I had to page back to see what was on page 2. I see timothyu has followed the intent of this thread, viz., what did YOU find in God's Word ... as opposed to what did you find that someone else had off of the Internet. Thank you, timothyu, for staying in focus with the intent of this thread.
Imo, you have a very good post: >>>Luke 14: 26 If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple. 27 And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple.
Another simple example of the message Jesus proclaimed over and over by way of His Gospel of the Kingdom about how we are to follow the will of God rather than the will of man.
Coming to Jesus means leaving behind the will of man, for Jesus only promotes and follows the will of God. One leaves behind those who do not accompany those who come to Jesus and the will of God. If family does not follow then so be it, but we now must hate the will/ways of mankind which are the cornerstone of human life as it is/was for ourselves. We must hate who we were also.
Do we still maintain a love for our family? Yes, but not for how they behave. Wrong will. If we still love their values, we are idolizing the wrong will... just as mankind who idolizes the will of man cannot follow the will of God.
Rejection of the will of man is our cross to bear while in this world. The reaction of the world of man against our rebellion to their system of self, nails us to that cross.
Conflict of the wills... man's vs God's
Matthew 10:
34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household. <<<
You have brought out core principles of discipleship.

When we draw our last breath
only one thing matters,
that our name is written in the Lamb's book of life.

The deity of Christ proved in 1 John 5:20 - And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us an understanding, that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life.

Ecclesiastes 2:17 Therefore I hated life; because the work that is wrought under the sun is grievous unto me: for all is vanity and vexation of spirit
Forever remembered due to vanity link

Answer not a fool according to his folly, lest you also be like to him. 5 Answer a fool according to his folly, lest he be wise in his own conceit. -- Proverbs 26:4-5
"Answer not a fool," in the Hebrew is in a tense that would indicate continual action, so "Do not keep answering a fool." For verse 5, "Answer a fool . . ." is in the imperative, "do it." The teaching is, answer a fool properly once, perhaps twice, but after that you stop. Similar to the directive by the Holy Spirit through Paul in Titus 3:10-11

Similar to the directive by the Holy Spirit through Paul in Titus 3:10-11 The real challenge isn't in answering or not answering the 'fool' - it is in understanding just who the fool 'really' is. Which is why reflection is so important, as opposed to vanity and arrogance.

Weaselspit, I have you blocked. I will not see what you wrote. Others will...
Rhetorical question: why is it when some people place another on ignore, they still constantly reference that person? That isn't really ignoring them...

Ezekiel 28:11-19 English Standard Version (ESV) A Lament over the King of Tyre 11 Moreover, the word of the Lord came to me: 12 “Son of man, raise a lamentation over the king of Tyre, and say to him, Thus says the Lord God: “You were the signet of perfection, full of wisdom and perfect in beauty. 13 You were in Eden, the garden of God; every precious stone was your covering, sardius, topaz, and diamond, beryl, onyx, and jasper, sapphire, emerald, and carbuncle; and crafted in gold were your settings and your engravings.[c] On the day that you were created they were prepared. 14 You were an anointed guardian cherub. I placed you;[d] you were on the holy mountain of God; in the midst of the stones of fire you walked. 15 You were blameless in your ways from the day you were created, till unrighteousness was found in you. 16 In the abundance of your trade you were filled with violence in your midst, and you sinned; so I cast you as a profane thing from the mountain of God, and I destroyed you,[e] O guardian cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire. 17 Your heart was proud because of your beauty; you corrupted your wisdom for the sake of your splendor. I cast you to the ground; I exposed you before kings, to feast their eyes on you. 18 By the multitude of your iniquities, in the unrighteousness of your trade you profaned your sanctuaries; so I brought fire out from your midst; it consumed you, and I turned you to ashes on the earth in the sight of all who saw you. 19 All who know you among the peoples are appalled at you; you have come to a dreadful end and shall be no more forever.”
Satan appears as beautiful and are we really smart enough to with stand him, if we are not God's child. v

Ask political supporters. They already fell for supporting the authority of man over the kingdom/authority of God. 'Thy Kingdom' got replaced by other promises and they are still going in circles.

So what did you find in God''s word today, Weasle.? That I need to continue to reflect on my own actions so that I am not blinded by my own faults and when I recognize those faults, to atone and try my best to address those faults.

The Tree Of Life occurs ten times in three books of the Holy Scriptures. Three times in Genesis, four times in Proverbs, and three times in Revelation.
Genesis 2:9 And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.
Genesis 3:22 And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:
Genesis 3:24 So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.
Proverbs 3:18 She [is] a tree of life to them that lay hold upon her: and happy [is every one] that retaineth her.
Proverbs 11:30 The fruit of the righteous [is] a tree of life; and he that winneth souls [is] wise.
Proverbs 13:12 Hope deferred maketh the heart sick: but [when] the desire cometh, [it is] a tree of life.
Proverbs 15:4 A wholesome tongue [is] a tree of life: but perverseness therein [is] a breach in the spirit.
Revelation 2:7 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.
Revelation 22:2 In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, [was there] the tree of life, which bare twelve [manner of] fruits, [and] yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree [were] for the healing of the nations.
Revelation 22:14 Blessed [are] they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.
