Hopefully other photo fans will chime in. I've been a serious amateur photographer, both film and digital, for some time. My current gallery (if you care) should be in the signature below. Hopefully people will post some of their recent works.

Where are the photos? I'm still trying to figure out how to use this site. Well, I'll start. I'll try to post one a week or so if everyone else joins in. I don't wanna be the only one posting. On the boards I usually post using a remote image. I see this board supports attachments, but I will probably keep with what I usually do, if only for consistency. Today's is one from a regional road trip last summer, passing by a very small community. Closer view here: demare.me/gallery/var/albums/monow11117.jpg

Thanks {blush} I use a combination of what you would call vintage film cameras and modern digitals. I'm kind of partial to the Pentax and Canon lines. I consider the combination of 1970s glass and 21st. century film to be a real sweet spot. I like to concentrate on composition and technique rather than equipment. However, one "toy" I recently acquired is one of those Jobo processing machines, so I'm now able to conveniently process color film in my kitchen and I'm not beholden to labs as much.

I'm more of a modern photog, meaning I use digital only. My Dad had his own darkroom, but sadly I didn't really get into photography until after he passed away, so I don't develop my own. Here's one I took some time ago at a street fair in Downtown LA: Attachment Deleted I use Olympus, Nikon and Panasonic (mirrorless) bodies. I lean more towards the Panasonics now, because of their smaller sizes, but will move back towards the Nikons from time to time...

after typing what you want to post, click reply (yellow box on right side) (not quick reply)
next page you adjust your font, font color, bold print, etc. if you want to.
Add Attachment is located on that page (top right) for you to attach files.
Click create post bottom right when you're finished attaching. Now you are viewing your post.
If you would like to EDIT after viewing it, look for that in top right. Click EDIT.
After EDITS - SAVE CHANGES on bottom right.

is there a way to post our images to this site like the <unnamed going away form that begins with G> had, even if it's low resolution?

I have a suggestion unless you are not particular. As photos can be shared to at present 8 different outside sites including social media, is it wise to post unwatermarked images that can be stolen and claimed by anyone? Would a transparent watermark across the image seriously detract from casual perusal here?

And in fact, I cropped my posted image in a way so that my watermark is somewhat visible, as the image itself was over the uploading max size.

Exactly. I caught flak at our former abode by a few who complained they could not copy and use my images. Tough.
