Wain et al, I saw that the street had finally been cleared. Despite the continuing snow, my driveway remained clear since I got rid of it mid- morning. I walked down to the road and found what I feared: not only did the plow close the end of the driveway, it buried the area around the mailbox I had so carefully groomed so my mail could be delivered. Hiked back up to the house, fired up the snow blower and spent another 20 minutes redoing that section. Just hope I didn’t miss the mail........Total snowfall so far: 12 inches, and it’s coming down at a pretty good rate. I’m betting we get 15 before it’s all over. And there is snow in Sunday’s forecast  |

37 mostly cloudy with weak sun in NW MI. Ground moles are tearing up our front yard between snow piles. Sure like to see some forties and real sun.

At 9 am it’s a brisk 14 with heavy frost and bright sun in NW MI. We’re looking at possible mid thirties today. Pa’s looking in the gardening catalog, sure sign of spring!

It's 32° and sunny in the backyard this morning. I'm so optimistic about the weather that I just got my lawn mower serviced (and it arrived while writing here)
SUVFan - I see you figured out how to put your location in your avatar info too. Nice going! Told you that the sun would come out tomorrow (although it did it a day early).
doc2son - we all can use a big warm up right about now - hope one is heading your way.
rover11 - we lucked out in yesterday's snow storm that ran up the east coast. Zero snow accumulated in my backyard, however up to 18" and more fell south and east of me. No shoveling, sweeping, nor waiting for snow to melt for me, no sir!
pa1929 - I just watched a YouTube video on the train ride up Pikes Peak two night ago. Kind of reminds me of the cog railroad at Mount Washington in NH, only a bit drier looking. I also like the saying about old age you have under your avatar - guilty!
OlRoy - I think Spring is trying to make its way to you now. No flowers nor buds, but it sure is starting to look like Spring here today. Might even wash the RV later today if time permits.
BGJam - see - even Minnesota is starting to feel like Spring! Hang in there - it's on its way!
hen23 - we might hit 45° if not more today. Keep sending it over our way and let's start a trend of nice weather going!
drdenny - should I dare repeat what I said above? "No shoveling, sweeping, nor waiting for snow to melt"? Maybe this was Winter's last hurrah - let's hope so!
gramsjc - I have those monsters too!! Moles and voles (more mouse like) and they have torn up my lawn terribly. I got Ehrlich last year and that seemed to help - looks like it's time to get them back (I'm covered under a plan). My major problem is that part of my property neighbors an open field and that's where the varmits come from.
HotSkel - did you get any snow out there? Altoona got a bunch (I was watching the train cam at Horse Shoe Curve and saw it), but we basically got nothing here.
munchkinsmom - here I am!! Always thought I belonged in the Miscellaneous Section. Stop by again since we're disappearing from GB in a few days.
laceylady - yes, it might be dark, but it bound to get light in a little while (matter of fact, it's light here now!). Think Spring!
joelimo - had to read back to remember where that came from. I have a son in Syracuse - anywhere near your origins?

Sure don't miss the snow and feel for all of you that keep getting it again and again.
We started the day at 52 and it is up to 60 now. I think the guessers have it going to high 70s this afternoon. Have to see if they are right. lol!

36 and sunny in Chambersburg, PA, with a high today of 44. What a beautiful day with the sun reflecting off my 12+ inches of the white stuff. Maybe spring is coming eventually. The robins are flying around looking for a place to land.
