Good morning!
Only 64 out today. but that should go up to 80 this afternoon provided the sun comes out. I had about half an inch of rain yesterday afternoon. Dry month so far after a very wet February.
I like those 2 chances of rain!

It's 51° and sunny (!!!!) in the backyard this afternoon. A beautiful day for which I have to thank those who live west of here for sending.
walrus - nah, no snow please. Where are you from?
rover11 - aw, geee - only 85° yesterday?? Sorry to hear that. BUT - I'm sure that you're one of the people who sent me warm(er) weather, so thank you! Reading about your 1" of rain - we've had a few of those, but when we fo, our streams and rivers tend to flood.
Almtnman - we can do with some 70s too - please forward asap.
sabob - congrats on the no heaters - how's the fridge holding up?
waubeek - you're having 40 and 47 yesterday and today. So that means tomorrow will be 54?
gramsjc - glad to see that you made it here from the other side. Stop by when you can!
joelimo - I saw an RV campground on FB where some people were staying. I'll try to find the name and post it later.
John747 - that B, B, & B sounds fantastic! Do you play by any chance?
John747 - I'll be that you're down toward Florida - correct?
johnmori - we drove down to NOLA last Spring along I-81 and the red buds were out! They are so beautiful. I started 3 from NAD (National Arbor Day) plants within the past 10 years and two of the three are blooming in the Spring now.
loranda - I just came in from the 50° and sunny outside and am feeling my face starting to burn a bit - love it! How's the snow situation up there?
laceylady - so, I'm assuming (there's that word again) that it's swinging to the east......
hen23 - I like your dad's saying - can't be wrong with that philosophy.
BGJam - our "snow pack" is essentially gone, except for a little pile I spotted out under the forcythia hedge today/ I'm hearing that we might get more Tuesday, but hoping it stays south of us.
suvfan - you're having a similar day to us. Maybe we should bottle it and keep it for another day.
Have a great day everyone, and thanks for stopping by!

Yesterday was beeeeuuuutiful in Chambersburg. Today is starting out at 31 and clear with a high of 54!!! Tomorrow is when we get the big question mark. The local news says a couple of inches of snow, mostly on the grass. The Weather Channel says 1-3” Tuesday during the day, 1-3” Tuesday night, and another 1-3” on Wednesday. I hope they’re wrong. I definitely don’t want to get the blower out again!
Wain, my company left yesterday so I’m now trying to get my house back together. Stayed up too late watching my alma mater in the women’s NCAA tournament so I still didn’t get enough sleep.

Wain, your post made me question myself about the doves. I just checked it and I was right. I used to think the same thing you did. How are your hens doing? Any voles yet?

Good Morning, niaw. Looks like a decent day, with a high around 38. That should get rid of some more snow. Yesterday's warmth melted most of it off the roofs. Looking forward to seeing a blade or two of grass soon. Winter sure is going out kicking and screaming. Emphasis on "Going out". Hope all is well in Lycoming County this morning.

Phil the groundhog got it right this year. 5-10 degrees colder than usual for March and usually my road is open to "ordinary cars and trucks" by March 10. This year, the last of the ice and snow is just melting now.

Bright and sunny out this morning. And a strong breeze out of the sw.
64 degrees heading up to the mid 70s.
The area north of Dallas in Collin county gets those floods with little rain. In their case it is over development and the destruction of natural water flow. You can't fit all the streams into 3 foot cement pipes. But that area can afford $70 million high school stadiums, 4th town is now building another one. So I guess they can afford a little water too. Even seeing as their supplier was just ruled for pollution in the water.
