GasBuddy 13 yrs in April..didn't discover the forums for the first 3..
My favorites at TJ's are Beefless, riced cauliflower, broccoli/cauliflower patties, and whatever else looks good....Haven't had luck with their bread-doesn't stay fresh long enough

I wish we had a Trader Joe's in our area! I used to go there when I lived in the greater Los Angeles area, but now that I'm out "in the sticks", the nearest one is a 2 1/2 hour drive to Philly.

I love Trader Joe's and shop there at least 1 x per week. The closest location to me unfortunately, is in front of a large mall/restaurant area, so I frequently shop at off peak hours. I have SO many items I like that it is difficult to pin down. For any day of the week usage, QUINOA DUO (frozen quinoa w/bits of butternut squash and zucchini) is a favorite, as it is microwaveable, and a quick nutritious side to a meal. My other fav is Fresh Alaskan salmon, (a bit pricey), or Alaskan Sockeye Salmon fillets. When I serve the salmon, my guests ask if it is fresh or frozen. Very nice quality! I either broil, or bake in another fav, TJ's EVO Olive oil and lemon juice. Welcome Kathybye! Glad you found us. Where are you from? Which reminds me, the only thing I haven't liked so far about GBO, has been the lack of an easy way to locate where a person is from. I have Santa Barbara as part of my signature, but it would be even better to have Santa Barbara written below my pathetic, default avatar.

I also didn't discover the forums for about 2-3 years. What is Mr. Orange Person's name?

Welcome wb6yyz! Glad you found us. Is that your ham radio operator handle? I knew someone whose handle started with wb6. Do you have any "ham" friends who live in Newport Beach or elsewhere in Orange County? Sorry you live so far away from a TJ. At least you know where to go the next time you have business in Philly.

I have Santa Barbara as part of my signature, but it would be even better to have Santa Barbara written below my pathetic, default avatar. Many others have made this same comment elsewhere. I think a big part of the problem is that very few people are even entering that information anywhere in their profiles. At least if the info is there you can go to a profile and see it if you desire. I have noticed a few type their location into what I think is labeled "status" in your profile which is what shows up directly below your avatar. The "signature" field shows up at the bottom of whatever you post to a thread. All that said, I think many of us would prefer if a location showed up as a default in, on, or near an individual's avatar.

I just added "Santa Barbara edition" to my "Cat Slave Extraordinaire ", so people would easily see where I was from.

Maybe I'll get to that "full Member" status soon.
Full disclosure, I have never stepped foot in a Trader Joes. Maybe I will one of these days!

Was just on another forum with rjgimp, I think, where I read "Sumatra Coffee Brownies" in relation to a comment I made about Trader Joe's. I thought the poster was kidding, but no, they exist and are goooood. It wasn't me. I have had no such conversation elsewhere. Perhaps it was my evil twin Jethro...
