My ex wife is a physician's assistant that worked in an overwhelmed NYC hospital. She claims new COVID-19 positive patients, especially critically ill ones are much more likely to survive due to what they've learned about treatment in a relatively short period of time.

Our State is starting free testing for all who qualify evn those with out any dr permission. I qualified. Testing testing testing in order to learn where and when to start the process of opening up. Of course seniors will have to stay in longer for their own protection.
I went through the drive-in testing site fast and easy. Well signed and if you can't read they have people waving their arms after so you know exactly what to do.
It is hard to be afraid when the weather is so beautiful and you were out and people are walking around so normally. But I have breathing issues and I know how difficult and painful that can be when I have a flare-up so yes I'm afraid I don't want to get any additional problems with my breathing. And I certainly don't want to get on one of those invasive procedures. I read that most people don't live after that and the few that do get clapped clear out of the hospital they're so happy to see someone survived it

Yes gas cat those will be nice also though testing would be for a different purpose wouldn't they? I don't know they have so many different ones now some for to see if you have it now sound that tells you if you had it in the past some of them tells you if you have a the blood corpuscles or something or other that means you are free of it and can help other people with your plasma.

Exactly what I thought aboutThe TRUTH About Coronavirus Antibody TestsE exactly what I thought about the antibody test in the last few minutes of his Spiel he tells us that the tests are wonderful as far as the use overall Government testing how it would be used to show where . and if that's exactly what they were originally needed for and it works for that purpose. I never thought about just finding out if I personally as a single person wouldn't want to know that's not the point of testing in my opinion

I am afraid some people, especially among the older population given a home test will somehow do it wrong. Having dealth with senior citizens, there are those who cannot really follow directions on something that might be different from what they are use to. I have seen a few sho cannot program a coffee pot with a clock or use a drive thru window.

Thanks thanks a lot I'm 89 and I can use a computer and a tablet and a cell phone and I would like very much to be able to take a test if I wanted to I would figure it out how to do it I've been able to figure out things all my life. Following a few instructions give us some folks some credit some of us aren't so dumb after all lol

Tru--I did say some people. There are many senior citizens who do well with technology. No offense, but during this pandemic forcing lifestyle changes, there are a few that cannot adapt.

I know what you're saying or what you mean it's true some Elders haven't gotten into the technology , don't have computers has yet Karma but then some younger people haven't gotten into it either like my son. he had to be dragged Kicking and Screaming into the new technology era. Is 5 4 years old. The younger generation have grown up all through school with computer technology and it's just part of their lives. Where a the rest of us have to try to catch up try to learn how to use all of these things, like cell phones and computers. And many of us are self-taught because we can't afford classes. So we bumble and stumble with it. Give us a break for even trying why don't you.
But my reason for coming back to this site is the spike in new cases OG covid-19 around the country as more people get together marches in social situations and the other instances such as more testing. I'm concerned that this is going to continue. That more cases are going to show up and that new rules will become necessary, hindering our progress.

I agree with you about the spike in covid-19 cases. Looking at the news and seeing all those people not wearing masks and very, very close together while marching and while going to the beach, etc. has me concerned. Yes, I am concerned that the progress that has been made is now going to go backwards.

Our little County has had 4 time the cases in the past week or two , then it did in the previous 10 weeks .What really worries me is the lack of leadership and the lack of preparation our president well somebody's president not mine he doesn't represent me. Anyway he is so ill-prepared not only is he ill prepared but he lies or he believes and he tells us untrue things , like we don't need to wear masks, it's okay to go out in big gatherings like he's going to do, and that it's (covid 19) is going to fade away. d u m b
