I'm in Florida which is one of the places they are now calling "a hotbed" for the virus. A couple of weeks ago I was feeling comfortable going out, wearing my mask. But now I don't want to leave my house again, even with a mask on. This virus is never going away unless more people start listening to the CDC. Some of the local governments in my area are making mask wearing mandatory when you go anywhere. I actually agree with this. Can't say I enjoy wearing a mask but would rather be somewhat safe then sorry. Yes, there is a freedom of choice issue, but in this case I am willing to give up my freedom and wear my mask when I go out.

We got notices on our door that someone in the complex that I live in of senior Housing, as covid-19. Big secret won't say what area what access to common areas no hints. If it was the flu would that be such a secret. I don't understand it.

You should find out so that you will know if you came in contact with the person.

Privacy is the excuse they give us for keeping secrets. It is so dumb in my opinion. Reminds me of back in the day when they used to keep mentally challenged people hidden in a room in their home and never let them out.Or pregnant women we'rdto stay indoors as well not decent to be in public.

OK I understand that privacy is an issue. But what about anyone who lives in the complex who might have been exposed? Are they going to at least notify them?

My neighbor called the office as she is on better terms with them, and she said they told her that if you did not receive a call then you weren't exposed directly. But depending on who that the infected person is, and where they have been, in this complex, many others could have been infected .my understanding is that people all around you when you cough or sneeze or breathe heavily or talk even, can be infected. and what about surfaces? how thorough were they in questioning the person as to their contacts I just don't trust this office at all because ever since the beginning of the pandemic they have closed up and not been there for us at all .we have received two notes in all these months from them .one of them informing us of the infection the first one just a rundown of what a person should do to protect themselves which we all know from other sources. And they also informed us at that time that we had to be sure and pay our rent no matter what and I think that was the main purpose of that first note LOL

I am becoming more and more concerned our infected people in this County has tripled in the month of June. We have 40 new cases overnight. For me this is worse than it was in the beginning when we only had three or four and no more than 15 for a long time.

Like Calif., Florida is now a hotspot for the virus. I stay home as much as possible. Live in a house, so when I talk with my neighbors were are a good 6 feet apart.

The spike in cases of covid-19 is a direct reflection of all the beach goers that we saw a few weeks back what was it Memorial Day? and then there are the protests and they're congregating of people. th the consequences of those actions are being reflectEd now, and we are all paying for it. back to square one.

The spike in cases of covid-19 is a direct reflection of all the beach goers that we saw a few weeks back what was it Memorial Day? and then there are the protests and they're congregating of people. th the consequences of those actions are being reflectEd now, and we are all paying for it. back to square one. Here, Ohio Governor DeWhine is apoplectic about widespread noncompliance as the numbers soared in the first half of July. There was no doubt in my mind that it was related to 4th of July celebrations. I went to a family member's party and personally maintained social distance from the 40 or so attendees. I left fairly early. No one who attended ended up getting sick, a minor miracle. But I'm sure that other similar gatherings around the town, across the state and throughout the country generated a lot of spread. Sure enough, a month later, Ohio's numbers are falling. DeWhine's draconian reactions have not had time to have that kind of impact. The experts really created a problem when they lied at the beginning, saying masks didn't work. They did that to preserve them for health care workers and first responders but they knew it was a lie from the start. Once you're caught telling a lie, you're known as a liar. Then they come full circle last week when Dr. Fauci threw out the first pitch at the Nats game. He's on the mound, 60 feet away from anyone, but he's wearing a mask. Ok, it's not like one pitch is much exertion, but it would become obvious the mask was all for show. Fauci was photographed in the upper deck, sitting with two others, who were wearing masks. Fauci appeared to be joking with one of his companions -- you could tell because he had his mask down below his chin (even though he was in one of those 18-20" stadium seats and turned toward his companion) and had a huge smile. The DC Mayor added to the problem by exempting John Lewis funeral goers from the mandatory out of state quarantine upon returning to the city. Apparently rules, very much like taxes according to Leona Helmsly, "are for the little people." These people who are supposedly top experts are caught lying and saying one thing and doing another. I've heard it said (and said many times myself since hearing it) that, "Integrity is what you do when you think no one is looking." Dr. Fauci exposed himself as a man who lacks integrity. It's little wonder that there so much noncompliance. And then there's the data that show that young people are not impacted by the virus the way it hits older folks. Off the top of my head, I know Ohio's stats. North of 90% of deaths occur in the age 60 and up group. About 14% of that is 60-69. 52% are 80+, which leaves about a quarter in the 70-79 age range. At the other end, Ohio has seen less than half a percent of it's deaths under age 30 and only 1% of deaths are of people 30-39. The 40-49 age group comprises only an additional 2% of the total deaths. For folks under 50, COVID-19 is probably less deadly than the annual flu. So it really shouldn't be shocking that young people don't understand why this is such a problem. These people are the least able to get along economically and are in the prime of their lives. Telling them they can't do ordinary things when it likely won't affect them is not going to be well received. Telling them the consequence of they can't go see their parents will probably not be a huge issue for that many! I would have been flaunting the rules when I was their age, too. Bottom line, it's up to the people who are most affected by the problem to take personal responsibility and watch out for ourselves, trying to burden those who are less affected as little as possible. I stay away from places I believe to be unsafe. When I saw too many young people showing up during the senior and vulnerable hour at the gym, I left. I use the curbside pickup at stores or have the stuff delivered. We have to hope that the health care workers are being responsible -- they have that duty. At the end of the day, there are risks and the fact is that life's just a big crapshoot.

In our very small County, we have according to the statistics that I have been viewing, one infected person with covid-19 for every hundred and thirty-seven people in our County. That is a high rate. County population was 137 744, and we just hit 1007 cases of covid-19.

What really worries me is the lack of leadership and the lack of preparation our president well somebody's president not mine he doesn't represent me. Anyway he is so ill-prepared not only is he ill prepared but he lies or he believes and he tells us untrue things , like we don't need to wear masks, it's okay to go out in big gatherings like he's going to do, and that it's (covid 19) is going to fade away. d u m b President Trump has changed his tune over the past few weeks: he now says that patriots wear masks! I know I wear mine when I go out further than the mailbox.
I'm going to have a sleep study as soon after Monday as I can get it set up. Medicare won't acknowledge you have sleep apnea without a current sleep study. Although it can be the at-home variety. Going to get to spend one night flopping around like a fish out of water.

Hey sneakers (Metro Houston) I have done two sleep studies years ago. One was done in a sleep lab. The second one was done at home. Think I preferred the home sleep study better, but not sure the results were accurate as I was told I no longer had to use my "sleep machine" as I did not have sleep apnea any longer. Still snore away!!!! Don't miss the machine, but I've heard the newer ones are small and quieter. Good luck.

President Trump changes his mind and changes his statements sometimes hourly. In all my years I have never seen a person that's less prepared to be president of anything much less a country. This self stated "stable genius" , is the most unstable, unreliable, idiotic, stupid to top off idiotic, person I've ever seen in public office.
