In making things safer.. we've forgotten common sense and are afraid to get out and live..
To Those of Us Born 1925 - 1958 First, we survived being born to mothers who may have smoked and/or drank - While they were pregnant.
They took aspirin, ate blue cheese dressing, tuna from a can, and didn't get tested for diabetes. Then, after that trauma, we were put to sleep on our tummies in baby cribs Covered with bright colored Lead-based paints. We had no childproof lids on medicine bottles, locks on doors or cabinets, And, when we rode our bikes, We had baseball caps, Not helmets, on our heads. As infants and children, we would ride in cars with no car seats, no booster seats, no seat belts, no air bags, bald tires and sometimes no brakes.. Riding in the back of a pick- up truck on a warm day was always a special treat. We drank water from the garden hose and not from a bottle. We shared one soft drink with four friends, from one bottle, and no one actually died from this. We ate cupcakes, white bread, real butter, and bacon. We drank Kool-Aid made with real white sugar. And we weren't overweight. WHY? Because we were always outside playing...that's why! We would leave home in the morning and play all day, as long as we were back when the streetlights came on. No one was able to reach us all day .. . And, we were OKAY.
We did not Have Play Stations, Nintendo and X-boxes. There were No video games, No 150 channels on cable, No video movies Or DVDs, No surround-sound or CDs, No cell phones, No personal computers, No Internet and No chat rooms. WE HAD FRIENDS

Poets' Corner:
Charlie Brown
Fe fe fi fi fo fo fum
I smell smoke in the auditorium
Charlie Brown, Charlie Brown
He's a clown, that Charlie Brown
He's gonna get caught; just you wait and see
(Why's everybody always pickin' on me?)
That's him on his knees, I know that's him
Yellin' seven come eleven down in the boys' gym
Charlie Brown, Charlie Brown
He's a clown, that Charlie Brown
He's gonna get caught; just you wait and see
(Why's everybody always pickin' on me?)
Who's always writing on the wall?
Who's always goofin' in the hall?
Who's always throwin' spit balls?
Guess who (Who, me?) Yeah, you!
Who walks in the classroom, cool and slow?
Who calls the English teacher Daddy-O?
Charlie Brown, Charlie Brown
He's a clown, that Charlie Brown
He's gonna get caught; just you wait and see
(Why's everybody always pickin' on me?)
Songwriters: Jerry Leiber / Mike Stoller performed by "The Coasters"

WE HAD FRIENDS Wow, this ignores a lot of safety data disproving your assertion... And video games have been construed as 'the devil' for many decades now, yet I still see kids who play them outside playing with friends as well.
I wonder if I will post these things when I am retired and yelling at kids to 'get off my lawn'. lol

Homer asks, “Dick, how did you get on at the faith healer meeting last night? Dick replies, “He was terrible. Even the fella in the wheelchair got up and walked out!”

Yes, but What? Me worry? It will still be available but only as a collection of previous issues. With all those years to draw on it should still be around for a while. A lot of bitsko history satirized in those veeblefetzer pages. But competition from today's cable news networks of the ridiculous, was obviously too much competition.

Did you see the latest Mad Magazine with Trump and his famous comb over hair-do?
I wouldn't mine getting that one, just to have President Trump sign it.
