Got some Sodastream carbonating bottles via UPS today. I needed to get the order over $50 to get free shipping. So, I ordered three bottles of flavoring syrup (Diet Cola, Diet Dr Pete, and Diet Root Beer). My housemate Chelsea said that if I want to put one in the fridge, there's no room right now. Probably because she's cooling enough Propel electrolyte water to hydrate an army.

My housemate AJ commented about making the equivalent of Sonic's flavor shots with a Sodastream. I've very much a fan of Sonic's blackberry flavor shots and LongHorn Steakhouse's blackberry flavored iced tea. I got on amazon.com today and ordered a bottle of blackberry extract.

I've been using my Sodastream Fizzi machine extensively, and I've expended my first carbon dioxide cylinder. Fortunately, I have spares. They work the carbon dioxide cylinders like propane tanks: one (higher) price to buy a cylinder outright, and a second (lower) one to get a refilled cylinder.
They say a standard cylinder contains enough carbon dioxide to make sixty liters of CSD, and I've pretty steadily been consuming three liters a day for the past nineteen days.

I think my favorite thing on the SodaStream is their "pepper" flavor, then the root beer. I wiped out a bottle of Diet Dr Pete syrup when I made my latest bottle full. Next one will be my third one. I think I only have bought four.
We replaced our refrigerator in late November, thanks to Hurricane Harvey. We got a LG refrigerator-freezer. Then, we decided we wanted a dedicated freezer. Now, we can go buy a ton of frozen entrées and I will be able to fend for myself when nobody else wants to cook and I'm not in the mood for lunchmeat sandwiches. I was on the Consumer Reports Web site, and found out there's a Samsung refrigerator-freezer with a built in Sodastream. I commented about my house caretaker about this. He didn't want to buy another fridge.

There's no cherry-flavored diet beverages in Sodastream's US syrup lineup. So, when I was in HEB this afternoon, I bought a bottle of cherry extract. The manufacturer's Web site has a review by someone who uses the product to make cherry flavored tea, but not how much he used. No indication of how much to use. May call the manufacturer because, after all, my cell phone has unlimited talk. My goal is to drink cherry diet cola without having to drag home all the water.

Right now, I'm having a can of Pibb Zero on the rocks. Bought prior to getting a Sodastream Fizzi machine at Walmart. IIRC, I bought a fridge pack of them when I was on vacation in Missouri during Texas Spring Break Week the second week in March. I also had some in the FEMA evacuation hotel when I was there.

My housemates AJ and Chelsea went grocery shopping at Kroger this evening. Chelsea got a bottle of Sodastream Cream Soda syrup. She loves the stuff!

Made a bottle of Sodastream Diet Cola with a blackberry flavor shot. A teaspoon of blackberry extract, a capful of Sodastream Diet Cola concentrate, and a Sodastream one-liter bottle (there's ullage at the top of it) of carbonated water. Turned out pretty darned good!

Discovered that the international part of my stockbroker covers Sodastream International. Decided to buy eleven shares of their stock. Went down yesterday and up today the last I looked.

I've got four beverage consumers in the house, I'm the one that largely does the Sodastream and the diet pop. I'm down to one can of Diet Coke. Once I consume that, I'll be doing Sodastream pop at home over anything else in the CSD space.

Now on my third carbon dioxide cylinder. Only have one spare left. Will need to get some exchange cylinders sometime soon. It works like propane tanks: one price for a new cylinder, and a lower price for an exchange.

Installed my last full cylinder of carbon dioxide this morning. Going to have to get out in the torrid Houston summer and return my three spent cylinders to a participating retailer. There are a number of them close by (Kroger, Target, Walmart) and there's other ones too. Probably better than dragging home lots of water.

Bought two exchange carbon dioxide cylinders this morning at Walmart, along with some Sodastream flavoring mixes. I think Houston must love "pepper" flavored CSDs. They were out. Right now, I'm having some Sodastream Diet Cherry Cola that I whipped up by adding a capful of Sodastream Diet Cola flavoring mix and a half-tablespoon of Watkins cherry extract to a one-liter bottle (that has some ullage at the top) of carbonated water.

Went to Kroger a bit before noon today, and bought ten bottles of assorted Sodastream flavoring mixes. Each bottle makes 36 eight-ounce servings, and they sell for $5.99 each. For carbonated soft drinks, eight ounces is the industry standard serving size. But who drinks only eight ounces?
