Who Knew???
On January 8th, National JoyGerm Day annually reminds people across the country that by being positive and treating people with kindness, they can influence those around them and pass that positive attitude on to others. When we share good moods, we impact the lives of people around us and those people become infected with that same positive joy and spread it to others.
Laugh, smile, be kind, inspire and spread the one type of germ that is good for everyone to catch!

Superman helped take down the KKK. In the 1940s, the popular Adventures of Superman radio program ran a 16-episode series, incorporating the findings of activist Stetson Kennedy, who had infiltrated the Ku Klux Klan but couldn't get local authorities to use the information to crack down on them. The creators of the Superman show used Kennedy's spy secrets to help tell the story of the "Clan of the Fiery Cross," exposing the organization to the public and earning it widespread mockery and condemnation. Sears used to sell houses. Before every city had a Walmart, most Americans got their stuff from mail-order catalogs, such as Sears. Among its many, many offerings were so-called "kit houses," or entire homes that were shipped on a train. You had to assemble the house yourself using the 75-page instruction book. Between 1908 and 1940, Sears sold about 70,000 kit homes in 48 states through their mail-order Modern Homes program, with 370 designs that you might not readily recognize as a kit. Who knew?
