Last night, I watched the KHOU Channel 11 jimmy Kimmel Live, and Nightline.
Slept nine hours last night, didn’t carry my cell phone in the bedroom so I used the alarm on Alexa to wake up.
Got up and took my morning pills. A half hour later, I put a Stouffer’s Meat Lover’s Lasagna in the microwave. Sat down in the wheelchair while the first step cooked. Started the Second step and went in the business room. Ate a can of fruit and took my lunchtime pills. About a half hour later, I got and ate the lasagna
Just before noon, I hopped in the shower and scrubbed myself down. Got dressed and got in the Tundra along with AJ.
Had my podiatrist appointment with Dr. Clause. AJ had complained that the early afternoon appointment wrecks his day. So, I asked for a morning appointment. Got one at eight o’clock in the morning next Wednesday.
Came home. No snail mail.
Cable TV was messing up, listened to FOX News Headlines 24/7 for about an hour. Tried cable TV again and it worked through 6:30 PM
After the news was over, I went in my bedroom and called the family. Talked to cousin Janet, brother Allen, cousin Sonja, and cousin Martha.
Got out of the bedroom about 9:30 PM and had a can of pineapple, a ham sandwich, and a rotisserie chicken sandwich. Took bedtime pills and went to bed.
Listening to The Blend on SiriusXM.

Patty--It was the hospital that sent the "one of your patients is in the hospital" note to the doctor. But then sent a retraction. Doctor's office said this has been going on for a while, but the hospital staff is working on it. Wonder why a doctor would bump you if another patient needed to come in. Why you over someone else. I would change doctors. A former co-worker of my wife has changed family doctors three times in the last year. She gets upset with them when they won't give her antibiotics for something minor. Most of us know there is a limit on how many times one can take them, and they still work.
Sneakers--Good that the fence survived the storm. Heard the last storm caused a house under construction collapsed with a young man inside who didn't survive. Wife called her sister who has adult children in the DFW area to see how they are doing, bus sister didn't answer.
Went to gym but didn't stay long as the restrooms were out of order. Then as I was leaving saw a Roto Rooter truck.
The head painter came to collect his money. Did another walk around to make sure everything was done correctly. You don't see that kind of work these days. Sure he cost more than another but can't fault his work. He forgot a hose that was used in the pressure washing.
Glad I installed the camera doorbell as some Jehovah Witnesses came to the door, but neither of us answered the door, just told them we were busy.
Headed to the other end of the valley to have lunch with a friend who will be headed north for the summer. Tomorrow night going to hear a band we haven't heard for awhile due to all the drama in our lives.
Talked to daughter and still no word from the Medical Examiner. Wondering what the average time is in Corpus Christi to get results. Thinking of calling a friend who went to same church as us that is now news director for one of the TV stations there and asking him how long these things take.
Everyone have a good day.

Had my yearly check up with the dentist Wednesday. After the cleaning, my mouth and jaw were aching for the rest of the day. Couldn't wait to go to bed. Today, the only after effects are my jaw muscles on the right side are very sore. In a month's time, I'll have to get a new crown to replace a chipped tooth. Not looking forward to that. I'll have to get another crown this time next year too. Ouch. soutxed, when balls and strikes are called automatically, I wonder if that will slow the game down? Hopefully not. As far as NHL officiating goes, lately there has been some question as to "what is goaltender interference?". It is much like the question in the NFL recently, "what is a catch?". Otherwise, NHL officials do the best they can with a fast paced game. patty7841, my performance in this year's school bus roadeo might be incentive to try again next year. If I don't mind getting up at 3:30 in the morning that is. It was a long day. Take care everyone.

Most of us know there is a limit on how many times one can take them, and they still work. Your wife's co-worker should realize that antibiotics don't do diddly squat for viral infections and stop switching doctors to get one that does what she wants against medical advice.

Went to bed last night after the ten o'clock KHOU Channel 11 news.
Didn't get out of my bedroom until after eleven o'clock this morning. I lied down and listened to The Blend on SiriusXM, falling asleep on and off. Had a bizarre dream just before eleven o'clock.
Pulled on my sweatpants and went in the kitchen. Got a Stouffer's Meat Lovers' Lasagna out of the freezer and put it in the microwave. Grabbed the second jug of sugar-free tea. Used it to wash down my morning pills. Half an hour later, I grabbed a can of HEB Sliced Peaches and ate those, by then the lasagna had adequately cooled off.
Watched "Jeopardy!" and the KPRC Channel 2 noon news.
Watched CNBC. Snail mail came just before three o'clock. Got John to go out and get it, I stayed on CNBC until I got done reading and shredding the snail mail. We got a total of ten items. AJ got three, all of mine was junk or overcome by events. All of mine went in the paper shredder. I got a reminder to pay the electric bill I paid on the 22nd. They were going to disconnect my power on the 30th (today) if I didn't pay it.
Watched KPRC Channel 2 from about 3:20 PM to 6:30 PM. Had the verdict in the Trump trial break in as breaking news.
Now listening to Classic Rewind on SiriusXM via the Amazon Echo Dot.
Think I'm going to have to order groceries from HEB tomorrow. No fruit, no lunchmeat, only one package of Swiss cheese, only a bit of bread. Wonder what we're going to have for supper tonight.
Krista the home health nurse coming by at 9:30 tomorrow morning. Set cell phone alarm for nine o'clock.
No Astros baseball to watch tonight but there will be tomorrow night.

Uncle--Missed my yearly cleaning and checkup with dentist was scheduled two days after our son passed away. I think we are scheduled for July on his birthday. But I never walked away from a cleaning hurting. Root canal yes. Astros still inconsistent. Stars and Mavericks are looking good. Mavericks in NBA finals and would be nice if Stars make it there. If both win championship along with Rangers would really be good for a city going through so much bad weather right now. Not sure if automated balls and strikes would slow the game. But what do I know.
Sneakers--Wife and I agree with you about antibiotics and have tried to explain to co-worker but she, like many older people, think she knows what is best. Our snail mail was trashed in the shredder. None on Tuesday and Wednesday and then yesterday it was a bunch, all adds or credit card applications. Today there are two mail in ballots, for what I don't know. A nearby city is having a special election for mayor as their previous mayor was ordered by a judge to resign or no bail on pending drug charges. Small town politics.
Went to McAllen to have lunch with a friend whom we haven't seen since right the Christmas break. Between SIL living with us and the travel in April and May. He is headed to Minnesota and then Indiana where he has family. Hope he doesn't meet the bad weather.
After lunch, we went to McAllen Mall which has a lot more stores than Harlingen. She tried the Dillard's there but could find nothing. Victoria store is different than the two here as those stores cater to the shoppers from Mexico. I walked the mall and then found a bench to read e-mail and watch a video on You Tube. Heard some cheering and then some shouting. At that moment the bulletin came on my phone about the Trump Verdict. Fearing there might be violence which was threatened I called wife and we drove home. One oversize pick-up with a Trump flag was driving recklessly down a crowded expressway honking. Hope this isn't the future here.
Read the instructions for contacting the Woodsboro judge. The print couldn't be smaller. Will call the judge and see if I can take defensive driving to keep the ticket off my record.
Looking forward to getting together with some friends. Will be first time after loss of son, but we need to get back to our routine.

Missed my yearly cleaning and checkup with dentist was scheduled two days after our son passed away. I think we are scheduled for July on his birthday. But I never walked away from a cleaning hurting. In my younger days, Boeing kept moving me around and I went a while without having a cleaning. When I got to the dentist, he asked me if I wanted him to take it easy or do a more thorough cleaning. I elected the more thorough cleaning and my mouth was a bit sore for a couple of days. He was able to tell me that I'd gotten by without needing anything other than a thorough cleaning.Sneakers--Wife and I agree with you about antibiotics and have tried to explain to co-worker but she, like many older people, think she knows what is best. Our snail mail was trashed in the shredder. None on Tuesday and Wednesday and then yesterday it was a bunch, all adds or credit card applications. A doctor who doctors himself has a fool for a patient, how much worse is a layman who doctors himself?

Soutxed, I was upset when my appointment for the sleep apnea doc got cancelled. I have another appointment 4 weeks from now. It will then be an 8 month wait. He is not worth it. I have another sleep apnea doc to go to after this appointment but I have to wait a long time to get in there too. If I make it now, I should be all set. I will never put up with waiting so long again and then have it cancelled.
Uncle, I wonder why your mouth and jaw were so sore after your cleaning. I had a cleaning about 2 weeks ago and it was one those cleanings where your teeth feel the same way as when you walked in. Hope that your jaw does not bother you too much when you get your crown done.
Sneakers, How did you get a home health nurse? Was it though a doctor? I am scheduled for surgery and I am going to need care for about a week to week and a half.
Have a good weekend Everyone!!!

Up at 6am and a quick shower then off to the doctor's office for my welcome to Medicare physical. She took my blood pressure, 138 over 80. She then told me three words I would need to tell her later. Then she had me draw a clock and draw the hands to reflect 11:10. I finished that and she said okay the doctor will be in in a few minutes. I'm like "aren't you going to ask me for the three words". She said "great now you caught me forgetting" and then asked for them and I told her them correctly.
After a few minutes the Doc comes in and he does the usual stuff listening to my lungs and heart, checking lymph nodes. He says they will do an EKG, draw blood, collect a urine sample and perform an eye exam. After that was done he said I did horrible on the eye exam and I agreed. I then reminded him that he sent me to an ophthalmologist a couple years back for some double vision issue I was having (up and down not side by side) and he said I had the beginnings of Cataracts and wasn't concerned about the double vision or my vision overall. Doc says I should get them checked again. I don't have any vision coverage so I will need to use the discounts from Aarp. Doc also said to use Debrox on my ears to clear the wax.
On the way home I stopped at the Menards store and took back the defective hose with no issues. Went across the road to get gas at Costco $3.169 a gallon. Continued on to the Home Depot to get a replacement hose then home to eat breakfast and I was starving by then. I had a bagel, egg and cheese sandwich, a half a bowl of bran flakes and a Yeti Tumbler of Cafix.
After breakfast my wife and I went back to the now open Costco to pick up a prescription and some Lactase for her and some dog treats that were on sale. I grabbed 2 bags of the treats because Coco really likes them. Produce store and Aldi next to get supplies for a dinner gathering we are hosting for 2 of Mary's sisters, one sister's beaux and Mary's oldest son. For all of this running around (except from Costco to the produce store because it was freeway driving) my wife did the driving.
Home for lunch and unloading the car. I had the rest of the kielbasa potato dish I made earlier in the week for dinners and my wife had some leftover Mexican food she had the other day a friend treated her for her birthday.
After lunch I chilled and my wife drove to the grocery store for a frozen pizza and Dollar Tree for birthday cards by herself. First solo drive since the concussion and she did fine. A major milestone done. Last thing I guess is to see if she is able to handle the main service at church.
Did the 11.5 mile bike ride to Mary's sister's house and as seems to be the norm we were into the wind on the way out and at our backs on the way home.
When we got back Mary started to prep some food for tomorrow and I went to the backyard to hook up the new hose then took Coco to the back yard to give her a bath bacause she stank. Took off her collar and started spraying her with the new hose and she bolts and runs around and around the garage playing keep away. I blocked her way around the garage with a yard waste can so she takes off for the side of the house. Good she's trapped I get her and put on an old collar so I have something to grab onto and and finish giving her a bath. She gets some revenge shaking water all over me. I get her leash back on and when she was at a safe distance she shook off so hard she made grunting noises.
Dinner was the frozen pizza, salad and a glass of Aldi brand crystal light raspberry lemonade clone. Ice cream and a banana for dessert.

My podiatrist ordered it. I get my bandage changed three times a week: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Monday and Friday are done by the nurse.

Went to bed last night about ten o'clock.
Made some comfort stops and up at four in the morning.
Placed a food order for delivery at ten in the morning with HEB. Needed to get food by lunchtime in order to eat lunch.
About seven o'clock, it started getting darker outside. We had 1.68" of rain in the seven o'clock hour and we had rain the next three hours.
Home health nurse came by at 9:30 AM. She took my vital signs and rebandaged my left big toe.
HEB dropped off the grocery order at ten o'clock. I ordered: A box of Shake 'N Bake Extra Crispy for Chicken A 20-ounce loaf of HEB Split Top Butter Bread A 20-ounce loaf of HEB Thin Sliced Enriched White Bread Two two-liter bottles of regular Dr Pepper Three one-gallon jugs of Red Diamond Sugar Free Tea Two one-gallon jugs of HEB 2% milk A ten-slice package of HEB Colby Jack sliced cheese A ten-slice package of HEB Provolone sliced cheese A ten-slice package of HEB Swiss sliced cheese A ten-slice package of HEB Mild Cheddar sliced cheese Two seven-ounce tubs of HEB Uncured Beef Pastrami A 1# package of Oscar Mayer Cotto Salami A nine-ounce tub of HEB Honey Smoked Thin Sliced Uncured Ham A 1# package of Bar S classic bologna Two boxes of Red Baron Four-Meat Frozen Pizza Two large single size boxes of Stouffer's Meat Lovers' Lasagna Two thirteen-ounce ropes of HEB Texas Heritage Pork and Beef Smoked Sausage A package of HEB chicken leg quarters Three eight-ounce cans of HEB Pear Halves A 32-ounce bag of Malt-O-Meal Fruity Dyno-Bites cereal Three eight-ounce cans of Dole Pineapple Tidbits in 100% Pineapple Juice Three 8.25-ounce cans of HEB Sliced Yellow Cling Peaches A 13.2-ounce box of Kellogg's Apple Jacks cereal
About 11:30 AM, I took my morning pills and washed them down with Red Diamond Sugar-Free Tea.
Lunch today was an eight-ounce can of Dole Pineapple Tidbits and a Stouffer's Meat Lovers' Lasagna.
Because it was raining, we didn't get the trash taken out.
Watched CNBC in the afternoon to three o'clock, then KPRC Channel 2 from 3:00 PM to 6:30 PM.
Got John out to get the mail but we didn't get any today. I thought that we may get something that wasn't a letter, but we didn't. Tomorrow's Informed Delivery has five mailpieces, two for me and three for AJ.
AJ made me a couple of grilled cheese sandwiches the middle of the afternoon.
About seven o'clock, AJ made supper. Rope sausage, mashed potatoes, and corn. Went in the kitchen and ate the rest of the corn.
About eight o'clock, I went in my bedroom. Stretched out, listened to music, and called family. Only answer I got was from cousin Martha.
At nine o'clock, I went in the business room. Had trouble logging onto my Charles Schwab account and had to call for help. Got $0.21 in interest on my checking account this month.
Watched the CW 39 nine o'clock news and the KPRC Channel 2 ten o'clock news. Now watching "Jimmy Kimmel Live" and I plan to go to bed soon as I've taken my bedtime pills.

Sneakers--You are right about a layman trying to doctor him/herself. This lady is stubborn, but her health at 78 is pretty good. SP families are running out of family doctors as they seem to be dying. Caretaker sister still goes to the same office where there is only a PA and nurse. Not even sure that is legal but in a rural community, things happen that don't happen is urban areas.
Ed--Wife's doctor that as of today is now my family doctor has a PA or nurse do the clock thing and remember words. My former doctor did it once several years ago. However, he had two children who played basketball and has seen me work the scoreboard and decided my mind has to be sharp to do football and basketball.
Patty--Hope the doctor thing works out. Medicare insurance usually covers the nurse. But it doesn't hurt to mention to the doctor about a home nurse or caretaker.
Called the Woodsboro judge and made arrangements for taking care of the ticket. Still have to pay $144 instead of the $288 if I take the defensive driving class. But has to be a money order, no personal checks, no online. The officer gave me a paper with forms to fill out for different pleas.
Went to celebrate a birthday with the friends from the old winehouse. Haven't been with them for over 2 months. One is a lawyer who thought those fines were excessive. The birthday person is the son of a retired high school coach who was at the other high school for part of his career. Also, he coached and lived in Raymondville. Wife remembered both the son and father from her days at the HEB store there.
Speaking of the other high school, their softball team reached the state final and will be playing for the championship. This is the same team that defeated our granddaughter's team in the second round. Another valley team in in the largest category is playing for the state title. Would be cool if both win today.
Pastor called me called me yesterday to fill in the pulpit next Sunday. Told him yes.

soutxed, my mouth was just aching from the polishing and flossing. But the other part was my sore right jaw muscles. My night guard isn't helping in that area. When she was doing her work, my jaw kept cracking on the right side. Ouch. So glad she was finally done, but the aching continued all day. Much like last year, before the night guard. You make a good point. With the Rangers reigning World Series champions, the Mavericks and Stars being champions, that sure would help the city's spirit. Probably never happened before. patty7841, I've had problems with my jaw muscles the past couple of years. Opening too wide is a problem. That only happens when I yawn (but not most all the time) or having dental work done. My night guard has helped some, but hasn't solved the problem. When I get my crown done, it should be quite as bad, but perhaps I'm trying not to worry myself too much. Take care everyone.

SP families are running out of family doctors as they seem to be dying. Not good, but hopefully they can get some young doctors who would enjoy life in a small town away from the rat race of Houston.Caretaker sister still goes to the same office where there is only a PA and nurse. Not even sure that is legal but in a rural community, things happen that don't happen is urban areas. When Walmart had their Walmart Health offices, they were PAs and NPs mostly.Called the Woodsboro judge and made arrangements for taking care of the ticket. The officer gave me a paper with forms to fill out for different pleas. Got a ticket in Missouri in October 2009. It caught up with me in Texas, the Non-Resident Violator Compact. Had to send in a cashier's check or money order. Was grumbling about it to the point where the bank gave me the cashier check with no fee.
