Started feeling bad again. Shaky and short of breath. Back in Houston Methodist Clear Lake Hospital. They are in shift change now, Got home about 11:30 PM. Have taken all my evening pills except the one that sends me into sleep. Need to get another glass of water before I go to bed.
They had a CODE BLUE right after I arrived. The man's wife was freaking out. A nurse calmed her down and said they were in the best place for a CODE BLUE to happen. I think they were able to resusitate the patient from what I overheard.

Sneakers--Will get those vaccines after Thanksgiving, cannot afford to get sick and I do not know how we will react to them. The first Covid made me very tired. When I was working, the flu shots gave me the flu for one or two days. Glad it was a quick in and out at the hospital. Got the RSV last summer.
Ed--Had tried last week, but the pharmacy was very busy. Part of the problem at the closest HEB is they are being remodeled, and the pharmacy right now is in a small section. It will be nice when it is done as they will have a drive thru window.
Speaking of HEB, we went yesterday to get Thanksgiving food and food for a covered dish meal at church today. Also, some HEB brand products as wife gets 25% off on them this week. Hard to find a couple of items due to the remodel and some partners can't keep up with change.
Fertilized the lawn and had left over. Now to find a way to store it.
Seems the weather in Victoria will turn cold Thanksgiving Day.
Have a good weekend. Maybe will watch the Cowboys or the Texans. On at the same time.

Good idea. Although when I was in the ER the nurse saw the spot that got the flu shot Friday afternoon and she commented it was red. I commented that it wasn't bothering me.

Good Afternoon, Uncle. Yikes. The Argonauts haven't lost a Grey Cup Game in 27 years? I assume they've been in quite a few in those years, right? No, I just forgot the Steelers were playing on Thursday. It must have been a fun game to watch, even if the results weren't what i would have hoped for. Did you get your 8-13 inches of snow yesterday? Seems like a waste of perfectly good snow if you don't get a snow day out of it! The verdict isn't in yet on our snow on Thanksgiving weekend. Have a safe week on the roads.
Hello, Sneakers. You're probably listening to Classic Vinyl right about now. I made the mistake of stopping at Walmart on my way home from church. It was packed, but it still surprises me how friendly people are. Didn't hear any coughs or sneezes so that's encouraging. I have a grocery pickup first thing Wednesday. I sure wouldn't want to go inside then. Glad you got your flu shot. That's something you can cross off the "to do" list.
Hi, soutxed. Just sitting here watching the Cowboys/Commanders, tied at halftime. Both teams are having trouble getting anything going (so far). Church went well. We're getting quite a few new people. Don't know why, but we're finally back to pre-Covid numbers. Not sure what next weekend will bring weather-wise, but until then, we're getting a bunch of much needed rain. I did see several pickup trucks this morning with their plows attached. I'm sure the PennDot (PA Dept of Transportation) trucks will be getting ready this week, just in case. Glad you got your lawn fed. Do you fertilize once a year?

Hello, Sneakers. You're probably listening to Classic Vinyl right a bout now. I am watching the Texans-Titans football game. Titans are ahead 30-27 with nine minutes left in the fourth quarter. Whwn the game is over, I'll see if another team I'm interested in is playing (the Chiefs and the Packers). If nothing else, I'll start the Amazon Alexa Echo Dot to playing music. Listened to the news this morning in bed from SiriusXM. Main thing was President-Elect Trump has selected all the members of his Cabinet.I made the mistake of stopping at Walmart on my way home from church. It was packed, but it still surprises me how friendly people are. Didn't hear any coughs or sneezes so that's encouraging. I have a grocery pickup first thing Wednesday. I sure wouldn't want to go inside then. Good to hear there isn't much in the way of upper respiratory infections in your neck of the woods.Glad you got your flu shot. That's something you can cross off the "to do" list. Got my flu shot Friday night. Saturday night, I went back to the ER and the nurse saw the red spot on my upper left arm and she asked about it. I said it was a flu shot, she said it left a red spot, I said that I couldn't feel it.

Hello, Sneakers. You're probably listening to Classic Vinyl right about now. I made a point of turning on Classic Vinyl after the Packers crushed their opposition at Lambeau Field.Glad you got your flu shot. That's something you can cross off the "to do" list. I'm planning to get my RSV and COVID_19 shots soon. I've decided to prioritize RSV higher as it has no treatment while COVID-19 has multiple antiviral drugs to treat it. Besides, I had a COVID booster October a year ago so all I have to be concerned about is antigenic shift.

May miss podiatrist appointment tomorrow. AJ was planning to work and we only have one working vehicle. Too poor right now to call an UBER but I can do one on or after Wednesday because I will have my Social Security Retirement Wednesday if all goes according to plan (Social Security Retirement has never messed up for me). I will have a Medicare Home Health nurse look at it tomorrow anyway.
We ran out of toilet paper. Isaiah went shopping and got paper towels. AJ made another trip out to get toilet paper. He was not in the mood to drive far as he went to an overpriced convenience store and not Aldi again.
Finally got my configuration loaded on my E-mail client. Took me a while to do it because I've been away from the computer a while being under the weather. It was a circutuous route: I had to export the old configuration on the old ThinkPad, copy it to OneDrive, copy it to the new ThinkPad, and then import it to the E-mail client. Now hopefully the rest of the app reloads will be less arduous.
Michelle brought in supper a bit ago.. Pork roast, canned green beans, and noodles in Alfredo sauce. The pork roast was dry and I gave a chunk of it to Chalupa dog, who also acted like it was dry and very chewy. Just took all my suppertime pills. Went in kitchen and made a second pass at the noodles.

Hi All:
Things are not going well.
The bum has been using a high pitch drill for about 4 mornings this past week. My intuition was not of good thoughts with this drilling. I am afraid to shower and if I go out, I am afraid to come back.
I get in from work in retail, on this day (Sunday), and I hear a whistling sound. My parrot was a bit startled as to where this sound was coming from. It turns out that the bum has been drilling holes in the walls. He was whistling in the wall, where he has been drilling holes, while I was emptying and washing my work (lunch bowl), etc. I got very upset. Went downstairs to speak to the guy directly downstairs here from me. He opens his door and tells me he has not heard any drilling and shuts his door.
I call the useless cops again. Two of them come and take my report. The two of them go up to the bum apartment. His shades are up as he is paranoid as to who might pull in the lot. He would not answer his door which is not a first. They came back down the stairs and stated there is nothing either one of them can do. Here we go again. I am a woman living alone right next door to the bum. Bum has serious drinking and weed issues.
Have to leave here and sooner than later. Enjoy your holidays as I will more than likely will not be posting on here.
I could be murdered here. I need my windows open due to the weed and vaping that goes on here. The bum can just climb in. I can smell disaster. Life Sucks@@@@@@@@@@@@@@

Lorando--The Cowboys-Commanders game got interesting in the 2nd half. Missed extra points, kickoffs run back for touch downs and a couple of weird penalties, but in the end the Cowboys ended their losing streak. There wasn't much coughing in church but since I sit in the back, I may not hear it all.
Sneakers--If you take Uber doesn't it go on a credit card? Wife got her retirement Friday instead of Tuesday. She gets Social Security Wednesday, and I get teacher's retirement (same as it has been for 22 years). Super sounds good. Hope you stay well for the holidays. We were down to one roll of TP but Saturday used wife's 25% discount to get a couple of packages that will last us at least till Christmas when she gets the 25% again.
Patty--Your situation sounds bad. To be honest, there is not much the police can do when the person doesn't answer the door. A former student has been in conflict with a neighbor whose dog breaks the fence trying to get to his cats or him. I referred him to a former student who is a JP, and she advised him about documents to bring and she can issue a restraining order. Something you might think about. He needs to get it done by year's end as the JP did not run for re-election.
Church was interesting. It was commitment Sunday as we complete a card on how much we hope to give next year. Afterwards we have a covered dish luncheon. A lady at the table with wife and me became ill as she had some type of attack. Before there were two nurses eating but for different reasons, they left early. Called EMS but it took them 10 minutes to arrive. They checked her out and took her to hospital where they rain many tests. Called husband and he said she will spend the night and get more tests today. Pastor had also left as he has another church service. A lay person led a prayer for her while we waited for EMS.
Will start getting ready for trip. Hopefully turkey will be thawed enough for wife to bake and cut tomorrow.

UBER goes on a payment card but my three credit cards have low credit limits and are maxed out. I don't have enough in either of my checking acccounts to use their debit cards either. AJ is out working to bring in some money. I get Social Security Wednesday and my Boeing pension on the 1st of December. Got my appointment slid to the right to the 2nd of December at 10:45 AM. I will have Medicare Home Health nurses visiting and looking at the foot wound. Plan to continue loading my apps on the new ThinkPad now that I've got the E-mail moved over. Hopefully will have no other apps that are as involved to move.
Slept about ten hours last night with occasional comfort stops. Got up and first thing I called my podiatrist's office. Eyes aren't good enough for their phone number printed on their appointment card so I dialed two wrong numbers (one was not in service) before I resorted to a magnifying glass.
Got up and refilled my tumbler with filtered water from the fridge. Alao discovered somebody had made a chocolate cake and I grabbed a piece. Puts my lunch thyroid hormone off to 12:30 PM and lunch to thirty minutes later.

Good Afternoon, Sneakers. So how's the flu shot site today? After 2 full days you should be in the clear. Just got home from picking up new glasses and sunglasses. New glasses always have a different feel, but these felt fine, and I wore them out the door. The frames from my old sunglasses have always been comfortable and are in good shape, so I just had new lenses put in. I notice a big difference, especially since turning on the computer. Also took a friend from church to pick up his car from the repair shop he left it at on Friday (or was it Thursday?), something involving the catalytic converter. Hope the visiting nurse has good things to say after checking your foot.
Hello, soutxed. I'm glad I stuck around and watched the whole Cowboy/Commanders game. It did get better in half #2. I think the Cowboys play the Giants on Thanksgiving. That was a great rivalry years ago, but both New York teams have hit rock bottom this year. I'll probably watch the Detroit/Chicago game instead. We sent out emails asking for 2025 pledges last week. We don't push it, because we know people give what they can. Then the budget work begins. Looks like the Thanksgiving weekend weather report is still up in the air, but we'll deal with it.
Hi, Patty. Don't know what to tell you, except I'm sorry your don't feel comfortable in your own home. But situations do change.

Been having trouble gaining access to the Humana Medicare Supplement Website. I have been locked out for multiple weeks and made multiple phone calls. Up to today, they gave me the song and dance that they will contact me to resolve the problem. They never did that I could tell.
Finally, today, they actually resolved the problem. I didn't have to make the threat that it was Medicare Open Enrollment and I could go to a competitor for hopefully superior service.
Got in and looked at my medical claims that they had processed through October 8th. Total bills of 1.2 million dollars.
Medicare Supplement, by the time they took away the Medicare discounts and what Medicare paid, ended out paying about $60,000.

Flu shot site is out of sight and out of mind. I could go look at it in the bathroom mirror but I make a trip there often enough that I'm tired of pushing the walker. If it gets too bad, I take my nighttime urinals in the business room and fill them up out of sight under the desk.
Michelle made salmon patties and rice with tomato chunks for lunch.
Since I was not here last Friday, the Medicare Home Health agency unilaterally canceled my Monday appointment without checking to see if I was home from the hospital. I'm going to have my appointment tomorrow.

Went to make a comfort stop. Looked at left arm. There is a large faint red spot on it. I assume that to be the flu shot remnants.
Snail mail came. Two letters. Both shredder food offering to give me something I have no want, need, or desire for. John went out to get it and on his way back in he failed to fully shut the door. I shut the door after making sure Chalupa dog was in the house. Didn't check Rita Lynn but Chalupa is the most prone to run out the door.
Michelle asked me if today was trash day and I said no, it's tomorrow.
Only one day after today before the Social Security Retirement comes in after business hours tomorrow. Got three bills online waiting to be paid that didn't get paid the last time they went through. One of them is TurboTax.

My Saturday curling team got another loss. This time we were up 6 to 0, but still managed to lose. I slipped and feel forward during the 6th end. My left foot gave way while I was sweeping a rock and down I went. That is a lot better then falling backward. soutxed, what will Jerry Jones do? Time will tell what he decides is best for the Cowboys or will he? They sure got a nice win Sunday. Chris Berman did make a short mention of the Grey Cup on Monday night football. It was during his half time review of the Sunday games. According to Wikipedia, it was on the CBS Sports Network. Not sure many people have the channel. ABC's "Wide World of Sports sure was a good show. My knee should be good for bowling this week. lorando (NW PA), the Argonauts don't make the Grey Cup every year. But then they do, win seem to win. Their all time record in the Grey Cup is 19 wins, 6 losses. Yes, we got the snow they called for. Roads were a little hard to get through today, so some buses were late, like mine. But not too much. patty7841, sorry to hear your home has gone from bad to worse. You would think one of theses days something would happen to that guy. Take care everyone.
