Monday Grocery Run: First Dollar General for Jolt Cola. Then Aldi for eggs (only 2 out of 4 hens are laying, so I still have to buy some eggs), lettuce, tomatoes, avocados, chicken breasts, frozen tater tots (I think that's a trademark, Aldi's calls them "Potato puffs"), french fries, broccoli, carrots, and stir fry veggies. Then to Redners for Cascade "complete" dishwasher packets, toilet paper (better price and quality than what Aldi sells) and Pepsodent toothpaste.

Went to HEB this afternoon. Main reason for going there was to get a flu shot, my doctors' office didn't order any for the 2018-2019 flu season; shouldn't cost me anything after insurance pays. They're getting ready to move to a new location, so next time I go in I'll be going to a different building. And they gave me a free bottle of HEB Texas Spring Water to down after the shot because my vision got blurry after they poked me (not that unusual for me).
Spent $40.64 on a dozen items, namely a tub of plantain chips, a jar of HEB Texas Size dill pickle chips, a 5# chub of 80% lean ground beef, an eight-bun bag of Pepperidge Farm potato hamburger buns, an eight-bun bag of Pepperidge Farm sesame seeded hamburger buns, an eight-bun bag of Pepperidge Farm onion sandwich buns, a value size bag of Bugles Original snacks, two 2# bags of HEB frozen curly fries, a bag of HEB rippled potato chips in Loaded Baked Potato flavor, a bag of HEB rippled potato chips in Sour Cream and Onion flavor, and a bag of HEB rippled potato chips in regular flavor.

Aldi Run: 1 Gal whole milk. Big pack of chicken breasts. Crinkle cut french fries. They were out of Potato Puffs, so I bought some steak fries. Frozen broccoli, carrots, sugar snap peas, water chestnuts, 4 avocados, 6 green bananas (they will be ripe by the time we use the ones already in stock) M&Ms candy and 2 doz free range eggs (my hens are starting to slack off and I haven't gotten around to rigging a light in the coop to fool them)

Went to Walmart Supercenter for Sodastream carbon dioxide exchange cylinders. I asked my housemate if there was anything I could pick up and he was in the mood to make beef stew for supper tonight.
First thing, I went to Customer Service to get two exchange cylinders. They were $32.39; enough to make 120 liters of pop. I'll drink through that in a bit more than a month.
Second thing I did was go around the market area looking for food. Bought fifteen items for $40.69, including a stalk of celery, two 1# packages of baby carrots, a package of sliced ham lunchmeat, two small bags of small red potatoes, a large container of Great Value coffee creamer, a 4# bag of granulated cane sugar, two "whomp'em cans" of crescent rolls, two roughly 1# packages of beef cubes, and four cans of beef broth.
On the way home, I dropped by Costco to buy 13.359 gallons of unleaded regular gasoline @ $1.999/gallon. Some gas fanatics may insist that that's too high, but I think it's great to be under $2 a gallon!

Never will see under $2.00/gal in PA again! And certainly not CA, that state has the highest prices anywhere.
