By watching rehab shows about redoing houses and then they come in and Stage them for sale. Lately all of them have been putting books down with the binding away from View even on the shelves they put them on backwards. What's the deal?

With most everything being digital today, including books, maybe the stagers don't know how books work. Or, they're so afraid of being sued by someone who's offended by a book title, or by publishers who want to be paid for using their books as props, they put them on the shelves backwards to protect themselves. Just my guesses...

I have no idea. I don't watch rehab shows and haven't seen that done. Geezer's guesses are as good as any.
A lot of news and opinion shows have bookcases behind the people in their homes or offices, and I haven't noticed that. Hmm, I'll have to look more carefully.

Thanks Geezer! Here's a quote from the link you provided:
So what’s the HGTV Secret?
It’s a really simple answer: copyright! That’s right, this isn’t some breakthrough of a design trick. Although it’s actually kind of a hot button issue with book lovers who aren’t fans of hiding the titles. It’s because the network would have to get copyright clearance from every single title in order to display them. And that’s not very realistic considering each design could have at least 10 books in them!

Here's another one I like from those Hyundai commercials:
If we enjoyed wasted time was is really wasted?

Thanks gezer a perfectly logical explanation but it sure didn't make sense to me just looking at it and not knowing the reason books placed backwards on a shelf where you can't read the title made no sense to my mind

Why is it that when I crack an egg to make scrambled eggs it comes out perfectly but when I crack one to make a fried egg the yolk breaks?

Good one, goldie, and it's true. Also, why is it when you're driving down a two lane and there are two cars coming from opposite directions and a bicycle rider on the shoulder...they all pass at the same exact point most of the time??

Hmmm, geezer, I don't know. It's been a very long time since I've driven on a two-lane road.
But that reminds me of something that was both quirky and frustrating when I lived in Georgia. Cars would pull waaay out to the left before making a right-hand turn. Why??

I believe it goes back to the days before power steering. One had to steer a bit left to manhandle a vehicle into a driveway or other narrow passage. Perhaps that's true for tractors as well, but I've never driven a tractor on a road, so it's a guess on my part. I have driven a tractor on a field and it wasn't a power steering version one and it was a bit difficult.

My thinking about going way to the left before turning right is lazy steering. Instead of going Handover as the wheel is turning ,they turn little bit with the left-handed little bit with the right-hand little bit with the left-hand little bit with the right hand. And the reason I say that is because although I've reached the age now when I was a teenager I rode with a old man and watched him do that .he did his turns that way he never took hold of the wheel and just used his right hand just to go round and round
