There's an ad on t.v. from WWF to try to save the elephants. They are asking people to symbolically adopt an elephant. Do they really have to say "symbolically"? I laugh every time I hear it and think of some poor Joe Schmoe out there who, if they didn't say "symbolically" would think he'd love to adopt an elephant but his backyard isn't big enough.

There are commercials for products that claim to maintain the "freshness" of laundry, but by "fresh smelling" what they are really talking about is smelly perfume. I hate that!
