CGrover, sorry to take so long in answering. No jersey, but I'm sure the ride will go again next year. According to the local newspaper, there were about 250 riders doing the ride. I'd say it was beyond expectations.

ə i rode in san fran when i was there in june around the bare to breakers. i also rode in two long rides: bam 06/17-23, and ragbrai® 07/22-8; i did both wearing only shorts and cap. i also rode a lot around town. in august, i was transporting the bike to coralville for a chess event, and had the carrier come loose. the rear wheel ended up dragging on the pavement, and before i realized it, the rim, tire, and tube were destroyed! i got it repaired a few weeks later, but have not ridden for a few months as it was too cold or wet. hope to have it back on the road soon! ə

I haven't been on a bike in about a month. Sad days. I have been coughing, and diagnosed with bronchitis, with no drugs, but then a week later got antibiotics and cough syrup with codeine. I was able to lay down and sleep in a bed! But, still coughing, altho better, but can't ride a bike yet, still too much coughing. Being outside in the cold really increases the coughing, as does any sort of exercise. SEM!

Wow! I have checked in here in ages.
I'm sorry to hear you are struggling with bronchitis there cgrover. Please get well soon; the bike season will be upon us.
I saw my first spring type cyclist yesterday in Albert Lea, riding along Fountain Street. It must have been a short ride for him as the streets are still full of puddles, sand, and snowbanks. It does make me want to get my bike down from the rafters and get it tuned up for this year.

We've had some sunny days and some warm (above-freezing) days, so the worst snow/ice-piles are melting and the bike paths are navigable - so, I was out riding Saturday & Sunday, but not today (too much else going on). (Milwaukee, WI)

And the topic is awaking....
I got over my bronchitis, and started biking again last week, and made it all week. But, I needed to get my bike in before 30 Days of Biking starts April 1, and normally the shop has a long waiting list. I called Fri eve, and they said if I got it in over the weekend, I would have it back Tuesday. Dropped it off Sunday. New chain, new rear brake pads, new cassette. They called Monday and also it needs a new front chain ring. They have to order that part, so now Wednesday for pickup.
tom, and this weekend should be even warmer!!
rodking, it shouldn't be long...

Yes. April is 30 Days of Biking. An 'event' that encourages you to ride your bicycle every day in April. Doesn't matter how far or how long, just that you ride your bike. It is day 3, and I have rode each day so far.

Yessiree bobba loui! Day 6 of 30 Days of Biking was completed. Glad to hear you are out riding. I have yet to get my bike out this year, been busy. Have to get it out soon. I have not heard from my team lead, Mr. Sprinthall, on whether or not we are going to have another Tour de Cure team again this year. If they do I will probably be there with them. Good luck.

If you want a team to join, you could join Paul's Pedalers. We have people that ride about every distance.

Still on the 30 Day streak. Yesterday seemed like the nicest day. 65F and a strong tail wind with gusts. Short sleeve jersey only, no jacket required. And, made my fastest time home. 12-18 inches of snow predicted for Thursday. Rain tomorrow, but not til mid day so streak shouldn't be in trouble...

Actually I got a Email from Doug yesterday, he did start a team for this year, I'll get in there. He also announced it on his radio spot yesterday morning when Tom had him on. We are doing the 26 mile ride again.
