Been riding to work every day, and several days on the weekends, if plans allow. This am's 5.1 mile ride to the bus stop was in the rain, with humidity at 100%, and the temp at 72. Only going up to 78 today.

Aloha BG! No, I haven't been staying dry, but not soaked completely. This am is was sprinkling a little heavier, but I wasn't dripping, and didn't put my helmet cover or pannier rain guard on and all was good. It was pouring when my alarm went off, so I reset it to drive time, and when I got up 30 minutes later, it was just sprinkling, so I drove and caught a bus 15 minutes later than my normal one. Yesterday morning it rained less during my commute. Rides home have been dry. And, it seems like after today, we should get dry for a bit.
Thank you!!

Sorry I haven't checked in here lately. I rode with the riders at Martin's Bike & Fitness of Albert Lea the past couple Wednesday evenings. I rode 17 miles a couple weeks back, and had a wonderful 23 mile ride last week. Perfect temps and no wind! I hope the weather permits me to go ride tomorrow evening again.
The Shooting Star Trail Bike Ride is this Saturday, June 23rd.

Sounds like a good list of rides rodking! And a perfect temp and no wind ride. Awesome.
Yesterday was a quick 8.2 mile ride home with cross/tail winds and about 70°F. Felt cool. This am was a 7.3 mile ride figuring out how to get around a bus that was parked for over 25 minutes blocking the road to the park and ride. Saw the sun for a moment.

Yesterday, I rode the Shooting Star Bike Trail Ride. It started/ended at Todd Park in Austin for the first time. Great turnout and a beautiful day for the ride. I rode the 50 mile route and not only survived; I feel pretty good this morning. My only little boo-boo was I forgot the sunscreen on the backs of the ankles so I have a bit of redness. I treated them last night, so I'm ready to ride!

Yes, a lot over the weekend. We were up North in the Cuyuna area, Crosby/Ironton MN ) staying with friends and biked twice a day, and got in about 50 miles with our 2 full days and one ride the morning before we left. Lots of nice changes since last year. Great riding weather. Raining this am, so no commute to the bus.
rodking3, not bad if that is your only boo-boo.

Too hot today, but did get out with the guys from Martin's on Wednesday evening. We went a different route than last time, west of town. Sun, warm, light wind. A great 21 mile ride.

I was able to ride in Duluth on Friday as I gave the wife a ride there for a job. She worked, and I biked for 2 hours. Lots of stopping to check the map and see where I was. 6 miles and over 600 feet of climbing. But, overall, it was fun. And, lunch at a pub with a friend and her bf that moved to Duluth a year or two ago.

Biked home 27 miles yesterday, with a stop at the bike store where I bought a new tire on Wed, and couldn't get the wheel aligned properly. They did, and now the wheel spins freely. Ahh, so nice. Temps were around 83°F and the sun was out, and there wasn't much wind. this am was 63 and felt a little cool, but nice. Humidity has gone done a bunch!

Tomorrow, I will be riding in the 1st "Rock-& Roll the Lakes" bike cruise. There are 10 mile, 30 and 50 mile routes too. Plenty of rest stops and support. I'll be doing the 30 mile ride.

The ride went well this morning. I rode out right at the 8 AM start time. There were clouds with a bit of mist now & then, which felt good. About 2 hours in, the sun came out, but it was only in the mid 70's when I finished about 11 AM. There were 3 rest stops on the 30 mile route. Lots of water and little goodies to eat. The banana did the trick. Live music back at the finish line. Yes, I'll sleep like a log tonight.

Wednesday evening was all the "A" riders at the ride. 5 of them headed out. The bike shop guy was working at his tent at the "Wind Down Wednesday" event in downtown Albert Lea, so the other "B" riders weren't there either. I opted for a short local cruise.

Still riding. Daily to work. Yesterday the rain came later. While on the bus after happy hour, it poured, but when I got to my city, it had stopped. This am, it wasn't raining on the way to the bus, but while on the bus it rained, and it seemed to have stopped once we got downtown.
rodking, sounds like a good ride on the 14th. Will you get a 1st commemorative shirt or jersey? Think it will happen again?
