There were a lot of good round ball games on this past week!!
Loyola of Chicago barely pulled off that game against Tennessee. I was pulling for Loyola. Tennessee was shooting the ball pretty good there toward end of the game. I though it was going in to OT when it was tied at 61.
Duke keeps zipping right along.
Kentucky doing the same thing.
Kansas barely won the game over Seton Hall. It was a close game in second half.
Texas Tech I was pulling for over Florida Gator. Texas just couldn't keep that 6 to 8 point lead in the second half. But they did win.
I was pulling for Ohio State over Gonzage. The just couldn't catch up.
That was a bad lost for Virginia against MD-Baltimore. One of there good player was injury. Can't win them all.
I'm a channel flipper when it come to sports. When a commercial come on I check out another game to see what is happening!
But I always get back to the game I'm watching.

More upsets today. Syracuse eliminated Michigan State, Nevada eliminated Cincinnati, and Texas A&M routed North Carolina.

The only 2 major teams that I have left is Kansas and Nova. And they are on the same side of the bracket.

Duke will reign supreme.. I think Grayson Allen should not be allowed to play any games the rest of the season. If I saw him on the street, I'd probably trip him up and then do a Christian Laettner on him....step on him as he's laying on the ground! LOL

A quiet evening for bball with Okie State beating Stanford. But my grandson kept me up to date with the 29 point win by North Texas Over mercer in the CBI. Looks like tonight will be a couple of NIT games.

Brackets busted?
This year's Sweet Sixteen is tied for the fourth highest total remaining seed number since the tourney expanded to 64 teams in 1985.
1. 1986...89
2. 1999...88
2. 1990...88
4. 2018...85
5. 2000...85
Also the South region's total remaining seed number is 32 which is the 3rd highest.
1. 2011 Southwest 34 -- #1 Kansas vs. #12 Richmond, #11 VCU vs. #10 Florida St
1. 1986 East 34 -- #1 Duke vs. #12 DePaul, #14 Cleveland St vs. #7 Navy
3. 2018 South 32 -- #5 Kentucky vs. #9 Kansas St, # 7 Nevada vs. #11 Loyola, Il.
4. 2001 South 31 -- #1 Michigan vs. #12 Gonzaga, #7 Penn St vs. #11 Temple
4. 1990 West 31 -- #1 UNLV vs. #12 Ball St, #7 Alabama vs. #11 Loyola Marymount
6. 2013 West 30 -- #9 Wichita St vs. #13 LaSalle, #2 Ohio St vs. #6 Arizona

At this point, it's anyone's tournament. My Cats are the lowest seed in the south. The way they have been playing all year, I was surprised they didn't make the NIT. They shocked me by winning the SEC tournament. Here is another tidbit of information. No UK team that has one the SEC tournament has ever won the National Championship! So, those of you that hate UK, can probably breathe a sigh of relief.

Kind of nice to see L'ville gt blown out in the NIT last night. Just wish it had been someone other than Miss State doing it.
Grandson/s school, UNTx, plays Jack St in the CBI tonight.
