Sorry but on that side of the bracket I had Nova beating Kansas at this stage. And nothing on the other side, I would love to see Loyola bet Michigan. Be kind of nice to see the Mo Valley and Big East in the finals.

ə except for villanova, i’m very happy with the final four dance card. i want to see loyola chi (because i’m a drake alum and thus root for the valley first) play ku for the title. (the big twelve is my second fave as i attended isu.) i was annoyed with myself sun. i was so tired i missed the end of the ku-duke game, which was a barn-burner! anyway, best of luck to lc and ku on sat.! ə

Wow, Drake. I was a big fan of the old Mo Valley. Back when W St, NM ST and NT ST were in it with Bradley and all such.
North Texas lost the first of 3 games for the CBI last night. Now they get to play them at the old snake pit.

And North Texas won. Concluding game is Friday night. Should the Dons win they will become the first to win all 3 tournaments, NCAA, NIT and CBI.

And North Texas won the last game.
Onward to the big games tonight. Nova and the Jayhawks, and the Ramblers and Michigan.

Loyola was looking good for the first 30 minutes, then seemed to run out of gas and Michigan just took it to them.
Great run for the Ramblers though.

Loyola quit doing the things that got them to the final four. Never worked at getting their outside shouts. Always trying to go inside.
Nova took care of business. In each of their games against the Big 12, they played a different style and in doing so they have grown as a really good team. I don't see Michigan being much of a challenge.
Tonight is the women's game. Think I might watch JC Superstar instead.

Villanova vs Michigan is not the Kansas vs Loyola matchup I was hoping for. I'll root for Michigan against Villanova, but I expect Villanova to win handily.

Wow, Drake. I was a big fan of the old Mo Valley. Back when W St, NM ST and NT ST were in it with Bradley and all such. North Texas lost the first of 3 games for the CBI last night. Now they get to play them at the old snake pit. ə i recall when drake played kansas in 1971, in the elite eight game. ku won a very hard-fought battle. it was academic because those were the the perfect seasons for ucla. that season saw some really interesting games. drake defeated u of l by two in d. m. on a last-second shot. but when we went there, it was no contest: u of l 94, drake 52! so everyone assumed that the cardinals would go to the ncaa (which in those days was only sixteen teams) and drake to the nit. well, drake caught fire and u of l fizzled, and it ended up being a three-way playoff between those two and memphis st. u of l beat the last school, and drake won, and went to the ncaa, where they defeated notre dame, but it was close. after that was the ku game. after that, maury john went to isu and drake got the old u of l coach, howard stacey. they had some decent seasons under him, but nothing outstanding. i went to drake to get my degree, but was not a good student, and the teams were doing poorly then. for this topic, i hope michigan can win! btw, i will be running in the drake road races in under a month. ə
