Quote: "High tariffs on goods from Mexico, who is really being punished?"
Certainly not any of big money people who belong to the group that got the big tax cuts recently either.

IMO the government is being run into the ground and if we don't do something about following the rules of law and reinstating some of the regulations that were undone by this administration we as a country are going to have long term consequences. I hope it isn't too late to win back some of our allies that he has insulted.

I have the opposite opinion, Tru -- that the administrative state needs to be reined in. Congress needs to take back its legislative authority that is has largely ceded to executive branch agencies, who make regulations, enforce them and largely adjudicate them all together. That is Constitutionally questionable to say the least. And it means that ordinary citizens can end up breaking the law in ways they never imagined were illegal.
One example, from a former coworker of nine: He wanted to adjust his lawnmower to run more efficiently, but he needed special tools due to Federal regulations. The reason for those regulations was to reduce pollution. However, if he obtained those tools and made those adjustments, he was likely breaking a regulation that could put him in jail -- a regulation passed by an agency, not by Congress.
That doesn't mead all regulations are bad, or that some regulations at least should not be enacted by agencies. But it has gone too far.
IMO.

Pollution which is so bad that many regulations are needed to keep the air so we can breathe. I agree that it is a good rule a good regulation and they are being abandoned willy nilly so companies or persons heading them can make more trillions that they cannot use up in a life time.
Quote Congress passes the laws that govern the United States, but Congress has also authorized EPA and other federal agencies to help put those laws into effect by creating and enforcing regulations (lawfully authorized.)+

I am of the opinion that children used as weapons in a divorce is the lowest of low. I think denying a child their parents and thus grandparents and possibly other relatives is cruel and shows that parent not to really love that child.

Last month l posted the following: IMO those bumpy yellow things at the corner of every block and coming out of stores are a dreadful idea. Sure l understand the thought was to help the blind, but wet they are so slippery l have nearly fallen, and dry they jar my teeth out of my head. Going over them in a scooter with a hand held shopping cart. It was and is a bad idea. Dangerous and waste of money to top it all
I got a few responses about how they are necessary for the blind...well l found a few corners where a much better solution was applied directly into the concrete and so no additional yellow curbing was necessary and so it wasn't slippery nor invasive to other people. Grooves were directly carved into the concrete and at different angles and over a large space so blind would not miss it. I think that is a much safer application and much less offensive to others. I really walk across those yellow zones with careful steps so l don't slip and fall. And even avoid them when possible even on my scooter so my teeth aren't jarred out of my head. while l rode over the concrete ones with little notice. Wonderful.

We do not need to get into a nother war in the far east , we already are still fighting in Syria, and Iraq and Afghanistan, Yemen, Somalia, Libya, and Niger — and we cannot afford to fight any more places like Iran. That is my 2 cents worth.

What women are allowing hairdressers to do to their hair is just disgusting. Straight ends beyond the loose tangled curl. Sticking out all over. I am watching Sunday morning and here are two women that have short sticking out mussed up hair that l wouldn't leave the bathroom with on tv. Fortunately these women have such pretty faces it is just a distraction. But still the hair do is UGLY. IMO

In my opinion name calling is out of control. I can't seem to hold a discussion with hardly anyone ,even the latest about gardens and the community garden fairness and not be called a b...h. or some such. Why? What is the matter with people that they can't control themselves or carry on not even heated discussions with out name calling? Is it because they carry so much baggage or hatred or what?
This person had a hose in her hand and turned on the sprayer and aimed at me. What if it had been a rock or more to the point these days ...a gun.

IMO if l am going to live longer, then l need to make it more pleasurable to go and do things.
Walking is difficult and l like to go to Botanical gardens etc and that requires a lot of walking often but l found out that the do provide electric carts that they drive you around in. 2 seaters or for groups 4 seaters.

IMO this government is doing nothing to take care of peoples business which they were elected to do. Refusing to take up any of the House bills to vote on, refusing to comply with rules of their office as in providing full disclosure of finances ... even refusing to answer questions really. They don't need to shut down the government as in the past , as they have effectively done so by just not doing anything.
